Gallagher, I can understand where you are coming from but it is not as simple as you state.
If you check out below link Farah was furious that his comments backing Potter were edited out of the Club's website. So Robbie was betrayed a second time. We know he is a passionate person for his club and his club hangs him out to dry. I think he did eventually play that game after a 20 min chat with Mick, now the real important thing is if he played decently when out on the field? Knowing him I reckon he would have.
So melodrama yes but not really of his making. Of course not appreciated by teammates and some fans maybe but he did eventually play. If that is his only misdemeanor in ten years it is not asking too much to forgive and forget. I think we decide on him if we like him or not - not just on this one episode.
Just by some of his passionate supporters on this forum it is clear that many are willing to forgive and forget. When considering that this year during SOO period he busted himself to play for the club in his heart he is a true Tiger and captain. And as the club did not issue him a notification of breach of contract they accepted that it was not a black and white issue.
Look at it as a marriage - partners love each other but sometimes still let each other down but if in their hearts they are good people then you forgive and forget. (especially if he is the most consistent bloody tackler in the side). I would have listened to you more if you had also condemned that shocking post in All Stars thread. Over and out.
