I'm surprised you have badly misread the support for Farah from among WTs' fans. This Board is not a reflection of the support for him.

There is only going to be one conclusion to this saga. Taylor played a high stakes strategy and lost.

I ain't talking about WT fans… WT Fans will always have a place for Robbie as a club legend. The blind love will ensure that!

Prior to this episode of Wests Tigers Live, 65-75% of the RL community would just shrug their shoulders when asked about Robbie Farah. Now you walk down the street and he gets the same reaction as Sophie Monk. They all start laughing and call him a gronk.

In 20 years time, kids will google RL and come across a photo of Robbie. They will ask there dads "who's that?". There dads will laugh and tell there kids he was a peanut from WT. good footballer, but a peanut.

This is only going to be the conclusion to this saga... Well done Sam & Robbie, you showed them?!

It's a pity that more players don't have the Guts to stand up to clubs. When they get shafted.

I'd be interested to know where the decision to pursue this incident really came from…

Was it Taylor; was it Moss; was it the Board???

From experience, since Moss and the Board arent jumping in to defend Taylor, it's highly likely it was one of there decisions.

Sack em all I reckon... Put Geo in charge!

I'm seriously taking names of the people that are defending these ''credible sources'' and will take note of what their opinions of these hacks are when they come out with some rubbish rumour next yr.

OH No. :astonished: ….

And, who cares if you do that? You've clearly got too much time on your hands.

This thread has gone on for over 300 pages. I'm clearly not the only one…..........

Sorry Steve. Outside our Tiger World the damage is done.

I walked into Bunnings the other day with my Tiger hat on and the butch looking chick behind the counter started laughing and ask "how's Robbie Farah going".

Having a beer with a radio host 2 days ago, and he was also taking the mickey out of Robbie. Says he will call me on air over the holidays to do a segment for a few laughs.

In 2 seasons from now they will be talking about our results. Since they could be as exciting as watching two cockroaches humping each other, they will be saying "Robbie Farah… Never Heard of Her"

This is what people don't seem to get. I'd say all the talk i've seen from non-Wests fans, they're probably 80-20 against him. They aren't complimentary of Taylor either, but they're unanimous in who they see as the real problem.

What is completely fair though, is to assess what his team are producing on the paddock each week. Quite simply, that is nothing short of boring, uninspired and dull football

Taylor has completely whipped the imagination, creativity and flair out of this team – and remember that for all their youth and talent this should be one of the most creative teams in the competition. In fact, the only time the Tigers looked remotely dangerous or even interesting for that matter, was the two chip kicks provided by maligned youngster Mitchell Moses.

Taylor has tried to turn this team into a structured-and-rehearsed-play team. That’s (sort of) fine, except that the strategies, structures and rehearsed plays are abysmal – and that is the coach’s fault and his fault alone. The continual midfield bombing from Luke Brooks and Moses is a directive of Taylor – the chip and chase is closer to their natural game.

Taylor needs to relax the reins and allow his creative halves

The fact that Taylor felt the compulsion to call into Triple M this week and defend his tactics only serves to highlight that they are clearly very poor. Ultimately he came across as a very desperate coach, reminiscent of a child pleading his case to the principal.

Citing the roar as a legitimate sports media.

A good article is a good article….this is spot on.

Anyone with eyes that arent painted on can see what Taylor was up to.

His idea is/was…...dont give the ball away any where that the opposition can potentially score from in six...punch it up the guts, and throw it around when u get in their 20....if u make a mistake ur 90 metres away from danger and should be able to hold them.

Makes sense.

Unfortunately we dont have the pigs to get that far up from just hitting it up...unlike other side re Easts that do it so well.

SO now we have a problem. We cant throw it around till we get down there end,yet we arent getting there,so we cant force an attacking kick cos we are too close to our line.....hence the midfield bomb, which causes no probs but allows defenders to make sure they are well away from potentially getting to our line in 6.

Rince and repeat.

IMO this just made us go far worse.....if we had the big fellers ok stick with it,but sticking with it when we clearly arent that side was maddening, and making it worse with all these guns sitting idle was just so sad to watch!!

This is why Im mad with Taylor, had a good gameplan, but we CLEARLY dont have the side to enforce it, and he stuck so solid with it that we came equal last.

I hope im wrong but i dont see more beef in our pigs,if anything it is less and if we stick with the same plan this could be an extremely long year.

Is he gonna let our 6/7/9 off the leash??

Fingers crossed!

Why does it matter if they are a 'credible source' or not when they are just stating their opinion….?

Because statements like the club will announce within 48 hrs that Farah has a lifetime contract is not an opinion, it's something being passed off as fact. It's 96 hrs later and still no official announcement. It's things like this that make people defending these gossip columnists so funny.

And where do they get their information from to form their opinion - all the sources that you are questioning as to whether they are credible sources. We all read the same papers/media. Farahs rep within the wider community is due to the press that has been written about him - unless of course you know him personally - then you can make up your own mind. The blame game will continue with this club until we can generate more money and win games. We have been trying to mix it with the wealthier clubs for years - they have been getting wealthier and we have dug ourselves in a big hole. Until that changes the names may change but the blame game wont.

I dont get the talk/praise for Cleary… He has achieved nothing more than Potter or Taylor.

GET BELLYACHE!!!

He has made the top 8 for starters, has attracted Marquee signings, took Panthers one game out of the gf, took Warriors to the gf

Before you hang a coach you have to give him a chance to assemble a roster that has at least half a chance to make the eight. That has not been the case for a few years now. As for Taylor he was the one who had the most to loose in the Farahgate drama, so he must really think having a squad without Farah was the best road to take for what ever reason and as a one eyed supporter I am willing to give the coach the benefit of the doubt as i am sick of being a cellar dweller and if by some miracle it works that is great, if it doesn't well at least he tried. Outside his kicking game Farah was average last year and you need a no9 that has a slick passing game and reflexes of a cat and plenty of speed , those days are gone for Farah.

Now it looks certain that Farah is here for another two years, its hard to see how any coach will be able to turn things around because there will be always a cloud of drama hanging over the club

So he has achieved nothing then… Fancy not winning something with 2/3rds the New Zealand Team.

GET BALLYACHE!!!

I can see what JT is trying to do, get rid of all the "old guard". We weren't getting anywhere with them so why keep going on that path :deadhorse:
I think we all need to settle down and see what happens with the "new guard" - can't be any worse than previous years, I would imagine that JT knows what he's doing as there is a lot on the line for him too - and the extra pressure regarding Robbie- anyway lets hope we all get a great surprise in 2016.
