Nah, if there's one poster I'd have like to have heard from here it's Simon. He absolutely kissed the ground Farah walked on. He'd have been inconsolable over the last few days.

Both Jerry and Simon are no longer part of this community….Simon was banned for abusing the rep system...so having a crack at him now is pointless...

Thats a shame, i enjoyed Simon's comments.

It was reported today that the Tigers asked Farah to take a $400,000 paycut to help the team and it would be repaid in the last 2 years of his contract.
Nice thank you from the Tigers.

Was in the Telegraph online NT- not sure if it is printed in todays edition.

Robbie Farah refusing to be pushed out of Wests Tigers by coach Jason Taylor

PHIL ROTHFIELDThe Daily Telegraph

CLINT Newton is the normally laid back, quietly spoken and conflict-avoiding boss of the NRL Players Association.

Until he feels one of the hundreds of players he represents has been dudded — like the Wests Tigers’ 12-year legend Robbie Farah.

“We don’t believe our players should suffer because a club can’t properly manage its roster or salary cap,” Newton says.

“Rugby league players are people first. They are not products in a buy, swap or sell market.

“They deserve to be treated fairly and with respect. Players and agents negotiate contracts in good faith.

“It’s not just about honouring the terms but also the spirit of the contract.”

The Daily Telegraph can reveal the NSW State of Origin vice-captain was prepared to make lots of sacrifices to save his career at the Wests Tigers.

Farah has already bent over backwards to help the club through tough times.
He even told his manager two months ago he was planning to give up the captaincy in 2016 to allow front rower Aaron Woods and young halves Luke Brooks and Mitchell Moses to blossom as leaders.

Then there was the time two years ago when the Wests Tigers were almost broke and desperate club officials asked him to take a $400,000 pay cut.

If he agreed, the money would be repaid to him in the final two years of his contract in 2016 and 2017 and, because of his love and passion for the club, he agreed.

Had he invested the $400,000 in Sydney property, the money would now be worth in excess of $600,000\. So much for club loyalty.

Even when the Wests Tigers first raised the prospect of Farah moving on to fix their salary cap problems, the Blues Origin star was prepared to help out.

His manager Sam Ayoub told the club it was too late to get the Blues Origin hooker a start at a rival club in 2016 because all clubs had already committed to big signings and were on their salary cap limits.

Instead Ayoub came up with a deal where Farah would play 2016 at the Wests Tigers but agreed to find a club in the UK Super League for 2017 — the last year of his contract.

He thought it was a fair compromise. The Daily Telegraph understands senior management at the Wests Tigers actually agreed to this arrangement.

Jason Taylor’s plan to oust Farah looks to be a building storm for Wests Tigers.
Then coach Jason Taylor took it upon himself to fast track the proceedings. He wanted him out straight away and tried to do a deal with the Rabbitohs.

It is why Farah and Ayoub stormed out of their meeting with Taylor and assistant coach Rod Reddy at Concord last Tuesday evening.

At the meeting Taylor and Reddy even used State of Origin as an excuse for wanting to get rid of him, with words to the effect of: “We lose you for eight weeks because of Origin and you’re getting injured playing for the Blues.”

It seems Taylor has wanted Farah out for some time.

Twice this season Farah has undergone surgery on his shoulder and hand.

Not once while he was in hospital or discharged after surgery did Taylor ring him to check on his progress.

Ayoub now says Farah is determined to stay at the Wests Tigers whether Taylor likes it or not.

“No one is going to take advantage of Robbie’s generosity and passion to help when the club was almost broke,” Ayoub said, “He’s not going anywhere.”

What i will say is, details that are usually only privy to those involved have been mentioned in that article.
some of those things have or were also mentioned prior to that article.
usually, whats consistant is whats close to the mark.
if it had said robbie and taylor were enjoying a beer over their chit chats, i would have double checked the cover …..

First of all let me say I love Robbie as a player, however as a captaain Robbie has long been a loose cannon , he continuously engages refs in tirades that seem to turn them against us. He continuously finishes conversations with them like a petulant schoolboy. As a leader he seems to get angry with his players, giving death stares and throwing his head back clearly expressing that he is not impressed with their mistakes. WITH A YOUNG TEAM THIS DESTROYS confidence.
This being said a good coach deals with this, Maguire in particular displays this and his dealing with Sutton last year probably won a premiership. Taylor has been found lacking All teams have players that have to be managed. Getting rid of a club legend is Taylors failing, Robbie might have a role in the confrontation but in the end its the coaches job to manage it.
This may have required him to talk it out, drop him as captain, drop himto reserves, whatever but to wait till the end of the seson and flick him shows no respect for Robbie, the team the club and the fans. I remember goingto Pearcies last game at Leichardt celebrating a team legend, Robbie will miss this.
Jason needs to man up and take reponsibility, for too long he has talked of not having the troops. Its your job to train the troops. Its your vision, your plan, your game plans, your skill drills to develop players and your wooden spoon. As a teacher its your job to make the team better than when you arrived and the players better players. Jason you have failed, own it. You dont get given a premiership team you make it, conversly you dont get given a wooden spoon team you make it. Man up Jason, dont blame Robbie or the team.

You brushed the players and said that their statements were just PCQuotes when the PC line would be to agree with the admin and coach, if you say that they were not giving their honest answer, you must think they are lying. And that they only tell the truth in a pub
They didn't have to say anything at all if they didn't want to. It's sad to see you in such denial,
You'd better go I think the voices are calling you again
You'll feel better tomorrow …....or maybe not

You sound like my 13 year old when he is trying to get out of trouble. He too twists trivial lines to try and trick us to win his argument.

Giving a political correct answer is not lying. Its telling some peanut journo what is appropriate within the current scenario.

You do realise half these 'quotes' are made up by the journos and they will txt the player to confirm they can 'quote' them?

I very much doubt players at the WT are having heart to heart with journos this week!

Next?

Hard to admit you may be wrong isn't it, even impossible.talk to me when you have something reasonable to say . The voices are starting to take over you
All journo are crook unless they agree with you
