Can someone please answer me this and apologies in advance if it is a stupid question but, can Wests Tigers and Robbie Farah somehow structure an overriding one or two year contract for less money than the current contract is worth in order to ensure Robbie can stay and ease cap pressure?

Apology accepted.

Lol. Just in theory I know the coach doesn't want him there regardless but I just wanted to know if this can be done in general

I'm certain that they could but Robbie Farah would have to be willing to forgo a lot of money that is rightfully his. I can't see why he would agree to that, nor should he. In any case I don't think that would make a difference now. Too much water under the bridge.

The crowd showed Taylor and management what they think. The players did also. Robbie did his chances of being signed by a rival club no harm…I bet they were all watching.
Nothing more needs to be said really.

Good point. We have seen 10 of these types of performances at the end of the season in recent years. The other 3 years Farah has been at the club, we made the finals….

Yes it's all his fault Garry, all his fault.

No, there were about 10 or 11 others that only made 3 finals series and they have all gone too. He is the last one.

The problem is Marzie that his contract for next 2 years is so big because of defered payments from previous. His contract is market rate + what he is already owed. I don't think they could really do to much fairly.

From what's comming out from go and Taylor I'm gathering it's not a money things it's more about being one team and not team Farah.

Make him Captain coach, Harry would pay out Taylor, no more coach problems for two years.
Unless the rest of the players are auditioning for Home and Away they like him OK

If that is the case it only highlights the issues that run deep in this Clubs culture…why does one need to be mutually exclusive of the other....

No need for Coaches at all..Time to innovate Wests Tigers...

Didn't look to me that the culture in the team has too many problems
Maybe It's off the field that needs attention.

This forum loves overreacting. Farah has one good game 25 weeks in and suddenly he should be kept? I'm not buying it. What I do buy is that no other club wants a bar of him for a reason, and after dealing with him for a while the Tigers don't either.

I'm excited for the Cherrington/Tedesco/Moses reign.

Whinge and whine…whine and whinge...
Had nothing to say about the great win but rushed on here to continue your bitter spew lol. Proud of you son.

I talk in seasons, not in 80 minute bursts. Helps me keep out of these ridiculous hot takes.

Rational thinking = whinge. Guess what? No one wants Farah. Keep emotions out of it and see it for what it is.

Is that right? Well I saw a stadium half full of people today who would beg to differ. As for other clubs, you wouldn't have the faintest idea what is going on in their board rooms.[/quote

During the presser Farah said, I just went out to play my own game.
Both him and Taylor have said on a couple of occasions that Robbie was taking a step back and letting the kids run the team, well this didn't work, and maybe if he'd been able to lead the team, we would have had more games like today's.

Il bet that Moses & Brooks wished that Robbie was allowed to play his game more as it certainly gave Them both a lot more chance to show just what they can do.

As for no one wants Robbie, it's been obvious from the crowd that most of our supportrers do , and the team has certainly showed that they do
Some here forget that there's many more supporters of WTs that have never said a word here and probably never will . WeAre the minority.
They showed today that they want him too.
And people saying that "no one wants Farah are just showing that they are fools
Congratulations to all the team for all the effort they put into it and for the support for their teammates who are leaving, and for their Captain
It was good to see WTs looking like Wts again for a change

All good..lets see if they can make it 2 in a row next week against a team that will be desperate to win to gain some traction going into finals football while WT once again contemplate their outfits for Mad Monday…

I do know one thing if they happen to lose ...it wont be their fault...

If he was playing like that all year would the club be trying to off load him?

For those that missed the fox spots coverage farah said his been low on confidence all year and today he just wanted to come out and play his own game.

You make a good point goldcoast tiger there are still plenty of people who want Farah to stay based on the number of 'ROBBIE"chants that went up during the game along with the supportive signs, the numerous people who stayed after the game to shake his hand, take 'selfies'' and so on, he still has plenty of support. On another note, there was a young bloke a few rows in front of me who went to the trouble to make hp a large sign celebrating Robbie but just as importantly, big Keithy and Patty good to see.

I'm anxious about today's game as a result of all this. I can't see how this could possibly galvanize the team.
If the Warriors brought their footy boots we'll be collecting the spoon today at home.

Few bob each way

I wonder if he will have another getaway car waiting in the car park at Cambelltown today.
The toys will be out the pram today, watch him play disinterested. Can't wait.

Where you meaning Pasty Face?

Didn't it

The Robbie at all cost brigade would of been a bit disappointed if the Warriors actual NRL side played today not the basically reserve grade side but let this not cloud the real issue !
There obviously is huge problems in the player group flash back yesterday the team was last outright,Taylor's coaching has been average for the most part ,and I struggle to see him as coach for the full season next year …but galvanising the team is a stretch these energy driven emotional performances only last for a short period then straight back to bad habits .live with it the right move has been made moving forward but the puzzle is still not over one piece still left to solve.

Some really good points here.

I don't think Robbie is worth his salary over the course of a season but I'm also pretty confident that JT is a dud coach. I think in some ways we should just suck it up for another couple of years and move both on with some class.

The word has been out for years about Farah bobo125 …time to really tell the real story ,some of us now a lot more about the general footy community than we let on . No one wants anything to do with him, getting a bit tired of the rubbish spewing from you about my club you are a blow in that knows crap.
Ask any one of the leading league types not Jurnos about Robbie Farah and you will quickly realise what the Weststigers are dealing with .

awesome mate - tell us what you know.
im very very interested in what insights you have.
i think we all are
surely there is a real reason why all of this has happened - lets here it mate !
i think everyone wants you to tell us what you know about the footy community that can cause us all to sit here and say…..... oooooh now i see... now i get it....... throw away $2M - make the club a alughing stock, take us to the wooden sppon......

You said yourself previously in one of your nonsensical rants that you weren't a fan of him yourself. So if you don't like him, why are you debating the prospect that others don't either?

And oh why has not one other club come out and shown interest when they know they could sign him for chicken feed?

Hope you enjoyed the game Snake !!!!! Good wasn't it, especially how the team reacted to Farah, and the crowd as well , and especially how the younger players showed their respect to him

It's a pity that he hasn't been allowed to play his own game all through the year, it may have helped the young players no end.

Today the club would be anxious and questioning there decision. Farah was the hero and Taylor got booed. All the talk was about Taylor and peoples not so favourable opinion of him.

Snake you didn't seem to mind when we caught Souths on the hop without Rep players and with players out of position and as well were badly out of form. That was looked on as a " great win."
And if you can't see that the team do support Farah then you are not looking ( especially as some have already gone public with that support) it must have really hurt that Farah had a blinder today , and I hope you arent too traumatised by the teams good game

I'd say they expected that.
