Glenn Stewart has been told to explore his options by Souths next yr. Wonder if he'll seek legal aide and turn it into a media circus.

GNR, was he informed that he would be playing reserve grade if he didn't go? Is he also a life member of Souths? I can't recall how many years he has played for Souths, is it 10, 11 or 12"

Do we really have to play the true supporter card? For everyone who questions the kind of supporter someone is for bagging Farah, the same argument can be made about those people and their bashing of JT and the board. Its an argument that makes for another merry go round. As if this thread hasn't had enough already.

Your the one playing poker and most people are sick of your bluffing!
Why dont you stop turning the merry go round everytime somebody supports Farah or accuses JT.

Yawn.

I,just like many, love to have a good discussion regarding the Farah fiasco…Is he hard done by,is JT The dud coach everyone assumes he is,on and on it goes....

I honestly can't go past the fact that two coaches that have been sacked,Sheens and Potter..Farah has been in the middle of the drama and somehow involved in their demise..

Make of it what you will, but there is more to his being moved on than what most on here are speculating ....
Granted he is a club legend in the eyes of most, however,he is not bigger than the club, the board and Taylor are sticking by the decision and until the complete truth comes out, then all we can do is have an opinion and keep on speculating and assuming..,

Unless we are familiar with everything that goes on behind the closed doors of the club, then we won't know until the final outcome is known to us.,

I think you and Ink are making a big assumption that Robbie has not been financially disadvantaged.

As I replied to Ink on the page above, if Robbie's contract payments include an amount for interest on deferred payments, then he will suffer no financial disadvantage over the life of the contract.

If, however, no component of interest is included in his contract payments then he will have suffered a financial penalty for agreeing to defer the amounts he was owed to later years. For example, you can currently put money into good corporate bonds paying around 7%. Investing $400k in one of these would yield over $80k in total interest payments over 3 years, which gives a rough indication of how much Robbie may be out of pocket.

In a sense Mighty Tiger might be right when he speaks of Robbie taking a pay cut. If Robbie's contract does not include interest on deferred payments, then effectively he has taken a pay cut.

The fact that Robbie will be paid in full whether he stays or goes is true, but it doesn't diminish the financial sacrifice he may have made for the sake of the team.

mate your beating a dead horse.
theres people here that just dont like farah.
they have their reasons and thats all well and good, but theres nothing you can say in any type of defense of the guy- personal or professional that they will accept or even understand.
the magpies are circling looking for that tiger corpse. thats all it is….

Well it is Magpie breeding season , what did you expect ?

I spoke to a Work colleague this afternoon and her brother is the Physio of the Dragons and we got talking about the Farah debacle and she said to me " What do you think happened to Brett Morris ? he helped the Dragons out a few years ago cause they were having Salary Cap issues and took a pay cut on the understanding with Peter Doust that his next Contract would be made up for it ".
He didn't want to leave and was filthy at the level of Loyalty shown in return .

I'm afraid Loyalty is dead and buried .

The weird part, which I'm still getting my head around, is that loyalty, from the fans' perspective NEVER DIES!
Yet we fans want our clubs to prosper, players to stay and be united, BUT reality is that things change.

However, the way this thing with Robbie has unfolded, irrespective of what side you're thinking is on, it just should never have happened mid-contract to a club legend!

They better not have a sook if Tedesco moves on to another Club in a few years time cause Karma is a…...[/quote

Is this the basis of the entire arguement to retain Farah at Wests Tigers? Where does his expected performance or recent performances come into consideration?

Is that the culture we want? We can't drop someone to reserve grade because they have been at our club forever, irrespective of performances.

Wouldn't Robbie have taken legal representation when the first meeting was held

It wasn't as if the club was blind siding him by this stage , both he and Ayoub knew exactly what was going on

Probably not, but you need legal represenation when you want to cut a deal.

Taken out of context to fit it in with your agenda! GNR compared Stewart's situation at Souths to Farah at WT. Clearly, that is nonsensical.

As for performance, suggest you address Taylor's "game-plan" and the role he had Farah playing.

Culture? Taylor couldn't spell it even if he did understand what it was; never mind imparting it into a club.

If you are suggesting that Farah is a reserve grade standard player you have lost all ability to be objective. Its not about being able to drop anyone based on performance - it was being told you will be playing reserve grade if you stay at the club regardless of how you play. In terms of culture if in fact that is true - people have called FARAH a sook over the years - that makes the coach look like the biggest sook of all.

Can anyone pass on where this situation is at now?

What are we waiting for now, whats the next step in the process.

When will this be resolved?

The club has been very clear
Farah and Ayoub however hinting at legal action.
What legal action?
Why?
He loves the club, doesn't he?
Glad he doesn't hate WTs

We know which party is keeping this running and us all in the dark

Mate you need to take some of your own advice. Suck it up.

Never seen someone carry on so much.

It really doesnt take a lot of effort to be civil with one another, put your own opinions aside and answer a question a fellow forum member asks.

When looking at our current roster, yes he should be playing reserve grade.

Why? The answer is not that Cherrington is a better hooker, it is that we now have two better playmakers in the squad - Brooks and Moses. With their style of play, we don't need a third play maker in the ruck, we just need good, quick service. The net result is that when they are able to take control and receive quick ball, what they provide exceeds that of what Farah provides. Farah's style of play belongs at another club where the half or 5/8 is a running type of player, not a play maker per se.

Farah's service is too slow and takes wrong options. I never realised how much Fara stifles Brooks until the match on the weekend. Brooks and Moses were another class when Farah was off the field.
