Hugely impressed with Benji's defence of his old mate Robbie on NRL360\. Had cooled a lot on the Benj in recent times but he really stood up when it mattered

He didnt 100% can out supporting. He also said his not everyone cup of tea and moody.

Lol Littletiger…No one is everyone's cup of tea either. This forum proves that.

The article says a lot of things that people have already argued and discussed feverishly on this forum since the news broke of Robbie may or may not be leaving…
Blame has been cast on many within the club, from board members to coach, coaching staff and even player managers....
As I said in earlier opinions of this saga......."in the end the truth will come out"...unless there are those on this forum close to the inside operations of this football club, nobody can really say if it is RF fault or Taylor's fault or whoevers fault...
And it doesn't matter if you favour Robbie or if you favour Taylor...some people will be left with a bad taste in their mouth if they have been arguing wrongly without the facts being known......
I myself have had my opinions, but every day something new or someone else comes up with more " I have heard scenarios ",until these turn into "we now know for sure from the club" then I will leave this Robbie debate to the people who know and want to resolve it satisfactorily.......

Aww that's no fun TT. This is a Footy Forum.. You know we love to gossip and speculate.

Whichever side of the fence you sit on the whole Farah v Taylor/Board situation the unfortunate aftermath is the fractured forum we will be left with for some time to come.
What's worse, and even sadder, is to see forum members who joked along with each other, and us all, now seemingly at each others throats in a battle of oneupmanship.
To be honest I'm not totally immune from this criticism either.
What I find to be most embarrassing is to see people (on both sides of the divide) need to resort to the character assassination of Farah, Taylor, Go and all the people involved without knowing any real facts.
My personal view is that the board let it get out of hand and should have forced a resolution between coach and captain before anybody got wind of this.
As much as there is the call for a strong board and a coach with total control the truth is that most supporters don't follow a coach or board - they follow the team and it's players.
In Farah's case he's the captain, longest serving player and, arguably, the most passionate WestsTigers player of them all.
It's hard to imagine that nobody on the board could have foreseen how this would play out the way it has been presented to the fans.
Now we lose if Farah goes and Taylor gets the boot - and vice versa.
There is no winner in this.
If the sponsors get their knickers in a knot and pull out we're in an even bigger hole.
Whether you like him or not everybody knows Farah is not a reserve grade, part time footballer.
In my opinion the board, Taylor and Farah need to sit down and work out how Farah can stay for a year to transition the team and leave graciously to a final year in the UK.
I know that's not everyones opinion - but everyone is entitled to one.
As for the forum, I think it's about time we took getting personal and abusive out of the debate.

Maybe that is what Harry will do. Sit down with both and work their way through it.

After just reading the HT story in the SMH. I'd say there is no doubt at all who he wants at the club. It's pretty clear. Hope they get a clear decision on what's happening soon .

I welcome Uncle Harry's input and business acumen, but he doesn't want to start off like Rusty at Souths, telling players what to do and getting involved in coaching politics. Leave footy to the footy professionals, and business to the business professionals.

He might not like the players we've released, but the salary cap is a fixed limit… unless he wants to wade in with some lovely brown paper bags full of goblins.

And old Roy Masters, looking forward to the Magpie "soaring again" in NSW Cup, when Uncle Harry pays $50M to buy Wests out of WT. Err does this mean he buys them right out, like out of the JV? You are a fossil Roy, Magpies like Balmain are done, left in the last century, it's only Wests Tigers from here on.

I think Farah will go ,once the emotion has past and clear thinking takes over he will move on .I can not see him staying if Taylor is the coach . After watching Brown last night I believe Newcastle will make a play for him and probable get him.. Brown wants him .

Why would it cost HT $50 M to buy Wests share of the JV,Tinkler only paid $20M for 100% of the Knights including a $10 M guarantee, neither JV partner has anything to sell , the joint has been run into the ground the only thing on the horizon is further costs for the stakeholders

Ben Elias must also think the Balmain Tigers are still playing first grade. During his media talks he often refers to the Balmain Tigers instead of Wests Tigers. Like so many supporters he must get it right.

HT's comments in the SMH suggest quite strongly Farah will be here next year. HT also recognises our youngsters are extremely important to the club.

That's right Paws, If Harry has any genuine influence, I'd rather be in Robbies shoes right now than JTs

I suppose they can put any price on it they want. They don't seen to be a desperate seller like Newcastle.

So basically it is one or the other ,time to not beat around the bush or sit on the fence, there is no mediation in this ,it has gone to far.Farah has already undermined Taylor with the younger group by all reports ,so there now is no respect for the coach moving forward as there feelings are now known. Does not matter who gets involved as next season will be a disaster if both are still there . To be honest I am over it do not care which one leaves but one has to!

I read the comments about Reddy as he simply made a flippant comment to Farah in a jovial context.

Yes well i dont think anyone directly involved in the matter saw it as jovial.

maybe they need to put there big boy pants on then?

Maybe Reddy needed to put his brain in gear, Watto.
I don't think it would have been the time to make a smart alec comment like that when you've just told your captain and life member to look elsewhere - and then add 'or else'.

If it even happened… Everyone is working on the assumption that what was said to the media from Farah's camp is true...

In view of the furore which erupted post the alleged comment, you would expect a very strong denial from Taylor/Ready if it hadn't occurred. In the absence of any denial, what are we to conclude?
