LOL you guys just dont get how stuff like this works.
tig-prmz…youre ignorance is staggering. I assume you are only young?
When you are making tough decisions, you use whatever is available to strengthen your case.
Taylor used the board, Farah used the media. The score is 1 all.
You're dead rightStryker.
Just because the club says they'll pay him , it means nothing until the money is in the bank. We're not talking about being underpaid a hundred bucks in your pay at work , it's over two million bucks, just look at what's happened at Parra, they needed a tickle up from a lawyer to sort out money owed to the Coach.
He's still the Coach , and will not be ostracised because he involved a lawyer.
Lawyers are involved in contract matters much more than some here think.
I can only see this finishing in one of four ways.
The club can fully pay him out right now.
He walks away, and can go and play with any club that's interested and suits him. And there will be clubs . No club in their right mind needs to do anything at this moment, as the longer this goes into the off season, Wests will be more and more desperate to get some of his money back. And his price will drop. If they pay it out, he's free to do what ever he wants, unless there's a clause where he doesn't play( which he wouldn't be likely to accept
The club loses. But Taylor happy. Farah gets his contract money and can negotiate with any one he wants
He can stay : and the club plays him in NSWCup, the club looks more and more ridiculous as the season goes on . Especially , if as it's probable , Taylor's coaching is the same rubbish that he's shown this year .
Still a possibility that he'll play Origin. The coach wants him if his form warrants it , despite a story that it would be unlikely to happen , (the precedent has been set with players being selected from the reserves or SL. )
end result:
Taylor Pissed off for not getting his way. Robbie still gets his the money that he's owed
The club & team loses.but the Nsw Cup team probably wins the comp.
which is probably as close as we will get to a premiership in the next three or four years
He can agree with the club , to go to another Club now , and the club will get a fraction of his money in return.
End result : Robbie still gets his contracted money, Taylor ecstatic , the club still loses, won't get much of their money back . Are in trouble if the next hooker in line is injured of can't handle a full season, and still has a probably the worst coach in the NRl
Or
He staysvwith WTs and helps Cherrington to get used to more time in the top grade then moves on next season ,
End Result: if arranged early enough, the club will probably get more financial return from SL , Cherrington doesn't get thrown in full time before he's ready, Robbie goes out as he should, club looks better to everyone, . Taylor doesn't matter as he wont last the full season anyway. And HT may have stopped fuming enough to help the club financially again
Win Win. Isn't that the same deal that Robbies manager and the club agreed to in the beginning, before Taylor rang Souths
