I was told the Leichhardt Wanderers Club has written a letter to WTs expressing its strong disagreement with the treatment of Farah. This advice is from two much older former Balmain and Leichhardt Wanderers juniors. Both are honourable men who are extremely unhappy with what has happened.

Standard procedure.

Macquarie All Saints sent a similar letter when Gibbs left.

What came of it?

Not much.

Going back to Farah and his tap on the shoulder….even though we have many who say this hasn't been handled well or who is the main cause of this dispute,I had a discussion with a very good friend who has played and followed rugby league most of his life.I asked him where this sort of situation regarding a club captain and legend would end up after all is said and done...he said,in the end players come and go,wether sacked or retire or better offers, this situation could end up being for the better as far as WTs go,for years there has been turmoil and wether people like it or not,the board are determined to have a complete clean out,he said it happens in so many businesses and its part of life, how you accept it is up to you,but in the end the club does what it thinks is best for the club...he said, when the dust settles, the WTs will be a great team going ahead, you just have to try and keep the emotions out of it and keep your faith in your club,to often people who don't know the complete circumstances of the situation are happy to argue the point because they are disappointed at what has happened.....when this sort of thing happens, there are always reasons...just that we are not privy to them...

Agree. I have spoken to a dozen people from different clubs, employment etc. and they all say that the club has done the right thing in getting rid of Farah. Has been a good player over the years ( they all say ) but there is too much controversy regarding his attitude towards coaches and officials, at club, SOO and International levels.

Time to move on people and look to the future. A future which does not include Farah.

I bet the club is shaking in its boots

Timmy The Tiger will send one in next… The board will need an emergency meeting soon

The Board has installed a dud to oversee the development of a considerable investment in playing talent which represents the future of the club. Akin to buying a Lamborghini and parking it on the street.

A dud? That's your opinion.

I for one will give Taylor time to establish a competitive playing roster after getting rid of some of the not so good players with whom we have been saddled.

Have to agree I am not a great fan of Taylor but with the move on Farah and the moving on of others he has to be given his chance that all coaches should have … at least a roster they want ..in saying that poor Potter never had this chance .

This is terrific news True Tiger.
May I have the phone number of your friend please? I have never come across anyone who has ever played or watched the game for the majority of their lives before….where exactly did you find this oracle of wisdom? This guy is a very rare breed indeed. Dont tell me I have to take a month of work and hike up a Tibetan mountain?
Apart from his very astute knowledge of a sport the majority of us only started following this year, his insight into how business works is equally impressive. This guy is a gem! He must provide you with hours of entertainment, him philosophising from the pedestal of the gods, whilst you sit cross legged on the floor gazing into his eyes with astonishment. I am really jealous. Please dont keep him to yourself, his thoughts should be recorded and published, forever immortalised, to form what would have to be one of the greatest musings ever captured in real time....This is exciting stuff indeed!

At the end of the day didn't Farah at say the press conference after the Warriors game that he wasn't going anywhere? Shouldn't it be case closed. If he leaves, wouldn't he be letting down everyone whose supported him through this?

So you have only followed Rugby League this year Stryker according to your reply, and that gives you the right to sarcastically remark on something that I shared with my forum friends that was told to me from a friend and an elder person in my community….once again, your sarcasm shows no bounds...He is a rare breed and a fine person,he has been successful in business and has been involved with Leagues clubs for a long time and most of all he respects people and takes them for who they are....He is also right, that when things like This with RF happens,we can speculate on what is happening,we aren't privy to the reasons or the facts ...

^ lol so you picked up on some of the sarcasm but not all of it?
You are right though we are not privy. I suppose that's why ALL of us on here are speculating and giving OUR opinions.
Only having fun with you TT quote who ever you want.

Snipett on the DT website, That says something about Farah staying even though his relationship with Taylor is beyond repair. (I can't access It)

If Farah stays and plays ressies next season, I'll personally attend every game he plays in…
I admire that sort of resolve.
On the other hand, I simply can't wait until he's gone.
He's been given too much freedom to do and say as he pleases at this club simply because he has talent.
It hasn't changed since Gary Freeman benched him in Juniors because he was not a team player and wouldn't take instruction...
As a kid you can overlook that, As a full grown man and supposed on field leader of this club.... No so much.

It appears he can't take instruction from anyone,Potter according to RF he couldn't coach, now his relationship with Taylor is untenable…Why doesn't Robbie go out leaving a legacy of a great player, the way he is going, irrespective of him being a great player, people will be glad to see the back of him..

Unfortunately, I'm beginning to feel the same. Whether we like it or not, Taylor isn't going anywhere in the short term. That means Farah needs to go. And he should know that.

I remember when another club legend (Chris Heighington) was in the same position and the speech he made at the GF luncheon, And still makes (as on TV the other night) to this day:

Everyone at every club has a time, It's now my time to move on and when my career is over - I'll be right back here with the rest of you supporting this great club.
He also cited the day he started, The work he put in, The exact amount of team mates he had played with, Thanked everyone etc, etc.. And stepped away from the club.

You'd reckon a guy with more smarts and more accolades that old Heighno would have more class…..

How long was the Lote thread? I think we'll easily have that covered by the time the Grand Final comes around…

A record thread in record time..!

At the time of that speech Heighno was signed with the Sharks and knew where he was headed. Maybe when Farah knows where his future lies then he will be able to speak with some forward thinking too..
