I had a discussion with a very good friend who has played and followed rugby league most of his life.I asked him where this sort of situation regarding a club captain and legend would end up after all is said and done…he said,in the end players come and go,wether sacked or retire or better offers, this situation could end up being for the better as far as WTs go,for years there has been turmoil and wether people like it or not,the board are determined to have a complete clean out,he said it happens in so many businesses and its part of life, how you accept it is up to you,but in the end the club does what it thinks is best for the club...he said, when the dust settles, the WTs will be a great team going ahead, you just have to try and keep the emotions out of it and keep your faith in your club,to often people who don't know the complete circumstances of the situation are happy to argue the point because they are disappointed at what has happened.....when this sort of thing happens, there are always reasons...just that we are not privy to them...
This is terrific news True Tiger.
May I have the phone number of your friend please? I have never come across anyone who has ever played or watched the game for the majority of their lives before….where exactly did you find this oracle of wisdom? This guy is a very rare breed indeed. Dont tell me I have to take a month of work and hike up a Tibetan mountain?
Apart from his very astute knowledge of a sport the majority of us only started following this year, his insight into how business works is equally impressive. This guy is a gem! He must provide you with hours of entertainment, him philosophising from the pedestal of the gods, whilst you sit cross legged on the floor gazing into his eyes with astonishment. I am really jealous. Please dont keep him to yourself, his thoughts should be recorded and published, forever immortalised, to form what would have to be one of the greatest musings ever captured in real time....This is exciting stuff indeed!
