@Knuckles said:I'd love to know where the club is at with this whole saga. Are meetings scheduled for this week ? Or is it all on the back burner … Surely not ???
@coopy said:The captaincy issue is an interesting one. Some individuals like Alan Border, Mark Taylor and Steve Waugh thrive on the responsibility and it takes their game to new heights. Even arguably Paul Gallen played his best footy when he took on the added responsibility.
For others it detracts from what they're good at. Tendulkar and Brian Lara are reasonable examples of this. The added responsibility impedes what they were bought in the team for.
It might be a bit late but I think removing the captaincy from Ribbie may actually invigorate him again. By all reports, he can be moody and broods after a loss - not a great trait for a leader. With the added responsibility removed, he may once again become an attacking, creative player. The skills he really bought to the team.
It could be a blessing in disguise

Im still at a loss to work out what "Taylorball" is, other than a made up word that says more about those who use it, and apparently we would have easily made the top 4 with some other type of game plan. God knows we certainly had the right front office, plenty of money and third party deals , and the best roster in the competition.

"Taylorball" is style of football guaranteed to have you finishing equal last in the competition. Not rocket science to work it out!
Not true. The whole premise is to make it easier on the defence. Sides with stronger defence can play that style affectively. It's not for us though. But at the same time, we don't have to play a Sheens era style or the Walker bros style to be successful like so many seem to think.
We will improve in 2016, we have to.

BTW, is it worth reading the next 100 pages?

Does that mean that if we don't, then we didn't have to
"Taylorball" was someone's retort to me calling what Sheenious had us playing Benjiball and how spectacularly successful that was
