Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

I'm glad it's about the be resolved.

Mainly because without Farah being present, the team as a structure is now unencumbered and is open to new player ownership. Hopefully this new young ownership is a group of leaders that can have the team heads up behind the posts. Inspiring each other and talking things through rather than standing there with heads down. A team that wants to thank the fans even after we lose a semi instead of storming off the field. A team that is united in the sheds and in the game.

With the air clear, youngsters like Moses will have a free reign to stand up and lead like they know they can without being glared at. New recruits can come into a squad that must feel like some weight has been lifted from their shoulders. Young enthusiasm not jaded experience… They're the sort of things I'm glad about. Forget the negative crap, we have no control over that anyway.

Consider my membership renewed.

Its a sad day in my view. We have just pushed out a club legend and some of our fans are backing the judgement of a hapless board and Jason Faylor. I said from day one if you could release Farah and save his contract value then even as a fan he had to go. Will be interesting to see how it pans out.

It looks like we will have cap money to spend in 2017 so we need to make the same hard decision next year with Taylor. We need a coach that can attract players. With Farah gone so go the excuses its sink or swim for Jason next year. If we are not competitive he is gone by round 6.

That is crap and you know it TYGA!

Round 6 my foot. You think we have gone through all this rubbish, had players get rid of Potter and then Farah trying to get rid of Taylor and then the club sacks the coach after round 6.

You are dreaming my friend - he is there for the best part of this season, at least.

Personally, I would hope for the whole year and unless the backside fell out of the team - he would be there for 2017 as well.
I would like him to stay for two reasons - he is contracted until then and 2017 is what the club and coach have been working towards. After having done the hard yards - I would at least like to see him reap some of the rewards.

Round 6 is a laugh. As if they're going to pay half his contract out. Everyone whose expecting his head within the first month of next season i don't think realize that this decision was made jointly by JT and the board. It hasn't been some rogue ploy that the board have given him an ultimatum as a result of. He's here till at least the end of 2016\. Like it or lump it.

Whilst I'm kinda sad for him to end his career with us like Benji, these things happen. He's certainly not the first club legend to have a falling out and he won't be the last

We just make ourselves more and more of a laughing stock every year.

Having heaps of seniors players getting paid by the Tigers to play semi final football elsewhere.

The whole league is laughing at us I reckon.

Everyone thinks it great we are cleaning up all the salary cap, but who is going to want to come here and play.

I wouldnt worry about the whole league laughing at us. That laughter will soon be aimed at the club that signs him next.

You watch him absolutely kill it next year at a new club Gallagher

Spot on Marzie! A brand new environment if is exactly what Farah needs. He's not a has-been at all, he still has heaps of talent, though many on here refuse to see it.

Being part of another pack that actually rolls forward, more often than not, he won't have to be the 'tackling machine' in every game and he will be back to his scheming best in no time. People are kidding themselves if they actually think he will be a liability to a new club :crazy

The _only_ good thing about Farah leaving us is that we will still have our first grade hooker come SOO time.

Apparently Farah's manager asked for an immediate release and his final two years paid out in FULL…...I think both Farah and his manager are dreaming if they think this is going to happen.

The Tigers need to get something for him......you cannot pay someone nearly a $1M a year to play at a rival club. He can then then stay at the Tigers and play NSW Cup.....no chance of him playing SOO from NSW Cup, especially if he is on the reserves bench of NSW Cup.

I don't mind Farah being shown some goodwill here but asking for payment in full and an immediate release....well thats just RUDE and if its an example of how Farah has dealt with the Tigers over the past few years.....I can understand why they asked him to find another club to go to.

Very disappointing.

i dont think JT will get sacked but im predicting a very lean year…or two.

It may or not be a lean year but at least Wests Tigers will have a happy team. a happy coach and most probably happy fans.

Our squad of course is overflowing with the best talent in the NRL, so minibus has decided we can do with out the SOO hooker.

"Sooky" has asked for a release.

"Minibus" (At least a capital please) as you call him suggested he was to be the hooker for round 1.

"Sooky" decided to go for more CASH, $$$$$$$ signs in the eyes I am afraid.

Does that mean when he goes all of "Sookies" supporters will go home and have a cry as well before not renewing their memberships.

Get off your "High Horse" mate he is going - that is it.

We do not need you putting crap on Taylor with every post you make.

IT IS BORING!!!!!!!

Maybe JT saying he'll be here in 2016 was a ploy to get a few members to renew before the death blow.

On a side note, what a glowing endorsement Farah received on the Kennel. A snapshot of how he's viewed by the majority of non Wests fans.

JT coming out and saying his here in 2016 to me means Farah is definitely going…its like when they say the coach has the full support of the board.

It's all so predictable with both Ayoub and the club playing games while the fans suffer. Seriously now Ayoub wants Farah's contract paid out in full. Robbie get yourself a new manager ASAP this guy has ruined your reputation.

Good on YA! Barra, nice post.

To be honest I'm absolutely stoked for Robbie that he has come to this decision.
Yeah the haters are going to say there was no Clubs wanting his services cause he would of been gone by now…..surprise surprise!!!!
Robbie loves this Club and I respect him for trying to stand up and fight for what he loves and believes in. Signing Ballin was maybe the final evidence he needed, that his lover has finally said we are not getting back together and she's moving on without him having no chance to reconcile.

Jason Taylor will have no excuses next year and his time will come, but him being all class I'm sure he will move on if he gets sacked next year forfeiting his salary for 2017.

Good luck Robbie, enjoy playing semi final footy next year. Thanks for the memories.

Farah is asking for $2 million, the club should pay him $1 million end of story. If Robbie is ruining the joint then surely it makes sense as against keeping him for 2 more years and paying $2million dollars + Ballins wage.. $1 million is a good investment as against the alternative.. What would you do? "Na mate keep the $2 mil because I'm a good bloke"?

Are you busy passing the cap around to the remainder of the rent a groupies to stump up the cash for Robbie's payout? 2 million to watch him play for another team sounds like a plan.

If I was him I would definitely do the same. They have bullied him into leaving with Ballin. They played their card before Robbie left. I would say fine, I'll go. Pay me in full, absolutely.
