Doesn't this club know what it really wants . "He has to go"", …..aaawww now we don't want you to go.... But then ...maybe. Buggered if they have any idea!

The position of the club has been the same throughout this saga… It wants to be in charge and doesn't want operational staff riding gun-shot over other employees or management.

Now Ayoub/Farah have folded, the club will control the exit, not Ayoub/Farah.

(I have never believed this saga was a Farah vs Taylor scenario)

We didnt have a CEO when the decision was made to ask Farah to move on. Dont believe for a minute that Pascoe would have supported this and how it was done - it has been very damaging for our club and continues to be mess and we still are yet to see what the fall out will be.

I am only a bush lawyer, but I think that if RF has asked for a release,he is not fulfilling the terms of his current contract which are to play for the WestTigers in 2016, 2017, so there is much negotation to come, and Farahs management blinked first.

Some fans are salivating at though of losing Robbie

Like anyone they are entitled to their opinion.

Although it will refreshing next year to see them search for a scape goat for the clubs problems?

Maybe just in my opinion they should be careful what they wish for. Farah was really close with Aaron Woods and a few of the young guys. He kept Tedesco at the club.

Wonder if those blokes will be loyal next time around. I don't think so.

You've got to be kidding, Farah can't lose in this, no matter where he goes he will still be getting his money and his Soo spot, as well as a good chance of a premiership, if he goes to the Roosters

Yep…I guess in the end it's all about Farah...

Yep you're right, after all he's the person that the club is trying to shaft, and it's up to them to ( along with the club that's signs him) to make sure he gets the money that is owed to him,
I seem to remember you saying often that he will get his money,
Now that he may actually go, we may see how ethical they really are.

What are you on about.

Farah is going to get all he is owed. THAT IS A GIVEN,

WT have stated that countless times.

It is where the money is coming from that is the negotiation.
WT are not going to pay him right out to play for somebody else. If another team want him (as bandied around Roosters or Dragons) then they will have to kick the tin. As he is a SOO player so there is a minimum figure (maybe $400,000), then WT would pay $550,000 for each of the two years.

Yo are bringing up ethics when there is no need. He will get his full payment.

However one cannot be down on WT for trying to negotiate to get the most money from another club than they can.

OR do you think they should pay all the contract money for him to play for the Roosters and Dragons?

Apart from the Farah 2016 fans, no one wants to pay him out to go elsewhere for no return - no benefit to us. If no agreement is reached then we might as well have him run around in Reggies. He would have just as much chance to make the team as anyone else. I am sure there would be no prejudice.

This is a business GCT not a benevolent society.

Even if he runs around in reserve grade all year he will according to Laurie Daley still play SOO in 2016 with all the associated financial perks.

Geo: they are our future wasn't disputing that, just stating that I wasn't aware of 2018, I thought the activation was only for 2017.

Yes currently It is…but that doesn't mean contracts can't be re-negotiated and extended at any time before the last contract expires....It happens all the time is what I'm saying..for eg Papali was contracted to the Raiders till end 2016 the have now extended his contract till 2018 along with a few others...

With Farah's departure almost inevitable ...the Club will be able to re-negotiate existing contracts make extensions or look to the market for next year although I don't see a great deal of quality left...As PYMBLEPETE and Sirro mentioned maybe B Lawrence but there is a lot playing out at Manly there still...

The Tigers will always be my team but I no longer worry about the never ending dramas. Plain & simple the club is unprofessional & an embarrassment to the NRL.
More concerning is what transpires early next year re: the failed Balmain side of the merger.
Hoping the latest CEO can direct the club to survival & success on & off the field.

Then good, they can go now. Any player whose only at the club because of their mates can leave right now. Doesn't matter if it's Jack Buchanan or James Tedesco. I want a football club, not a boys club.

Thats the way I read it too. If Faf has asked for a release then he has budged on the contract and a lesser amount of his contract can be negotioated for a payout.

BUT this is the amatuer hour Tigers so in reality somehow theyll end up paying him out 3 mill and he will be free to play with a rival club next year.

as far as money goes,he is owed what we didn't pay the last couple years that was backloaded.

100% entitled to that money which will be around 400 to 600k.

if the tigers were to pay a total of 1mil for him to be gone i hope it can all go towards this years cap, which should clear us to add some quality players for 2017.

Anyone else scared that Farah will take Tedesco with him to the Roosters? They need a fullback, Farah was the key to keeping him at Tigers, Ted was always a roosters fan..

Roosters would sell their Leagues club to get hold of Teddy. I am concerned that the Farah-Ayoub-Teddy connection could well cost us our best player. Ayoub won't be doing us any favours that's for sure

To be honest I'm absolutely stoked for Robbie that he has come to this decision.
Yeah the haters are going to say there was no Clubs wanting his services cause he would of been gone by now…..surprise surprise!!!!
Robbie loves this Club and I respect him for trying to stand up and fight for what he loves and believes in. Signing Ballin was maybe the final evidence he needed, that his lover has finally said we are not getting back together and she's moving on without him having no chance to reconcile.

Jason Taylor will have no excuses next year and his time will come, but him being all class I'm sure he will move on if he gets sacked next year forfeiting his salary for 2017.

Good luck Robbie, enjoy playing semi final footy next year. Thanks for the memories.

Absolutely agree FT - Robbie isnt going to lose anything in this. As a fan I selfishly wanted him to see out his contract, but the actions of Taylor, rightly or wrongly have made that impossible. St George or the Roosters wherever he ends up are going to get a quality player, and we will have to find a new scapegoat.

Robbie is a quality player. He is also overpaid at this point because he has lost some pace. If he was paid half what we are paying him he would be a great option. I assume that is what some club is going to get.

Hopefully Tedesco realised when Ayoub convinced him to sign with Canberra he was only interested in his commission.

Any smart person around Teddy should have by now advised Tedesco to sign with a new manager next time around!

Ayoub manager …. time will tell. Roosters are a pretty astute club - maybe a master plan.

Thankfully Gnr that is not your decision to make. Unlike you I like that our team is made up of players that are good mates that want to play for our club together - because at the moment there is not a lot that we have to offer to attract quality players from outside the club.

Players don't change clubs because they have a mate there. Besides we don't even know where he's gonna end up.
