Robbie Farah - NSW Mole

I love Robbie

But i thought last nights performance wasnt one of his best… too many silly plays which are also evident on a weekly basis during club matches.. especially the pass to hodges..

Im surprised the tigers re-signed Robbie for 4 years... Personally, i think he should probably retire at the end of next season maybe 2015 the latest depending how his body reacts, same with Benji Marshall too, i cant see them having any impact beyond 2014/15 max

NRL is a young mans game... if you make to 27/28 its all down hill from there, only 1% can compete beyond the above mentioned age

This is why players choose to go to england, its softer... good money and they are realistic..

But NRL, its absolute brutality..

back to the original topic, i wouldnt be surpised if Farah doesnt get selected for NSW #9 next year

So you want to take a shot at him for a 40/20 kick with under 4 to go when they desperately needed field position and a full set of six or the kick across field with 25 seconds to go when NSW were stuck on the 20m line? Sure it was a 1%er play but they weren't looking like breaking the line. If whoever it was who tried to bat the ball back (Morris?) had have kicked it things could have got interesting.

x2 .. not to mention the tackle in mid-air on mcmanus that went un-noticed by the refs ( although they did see the one on slater ). should have been a pen to nsw not a qld scrum on fulltime

Not his best game, but he was the only one looking at all likely to create something in attack.

He had a kick for field possession which Queensland were good enough to get out of and a Hail Mary kick when a Hail Mary was needed.

If Mitchell Pearce didn't f-up 2 or 3 last tackle options, he wouldn't have been doing those kicks. Marshall's kicking game is better then Pearce's.

NSW were probably unlucky they didn't get a penalty when they tried to bat the ball back into the field of play , h**e was attacking a player while in the air**
This is what annoys me ,the rules change dependant on where you are on the field

Farah played pretty well last night , the 6 and 7 need to take some responsibility and accountability for last night ,took some real bad options at times

rule doesnt apply when it's an attacking player

Why was he the attacking player ,sorry mate doesn't make sense , he was the player attempting to knock the ball back into play ,that makes him the attacking player

NSW kicked the ball - that's what makes him the attacking player. Essentially it's to avoid the situation where the attacker catches a bomb and there's no realistic chance to prevent a try if you wait for him to reach the ground.

You can't get penalized for tackling an attacking player in the air. Attacking meaning the team who is in possession and kicked the ball. This is a pretty cut and dry rule that has been in affect for some time. Surprised so many don't seem to understand it.

What a load of crap you have written ,
How old is Cameron Smith ? Hodges ? Tate ? Thurston ? Slater ? I can go on …... you telling me there past it cause of there age ? don't think so . Queensland are a team of Champions and they know each others game inside out and have practically the same side for that long , they know how to get out of certain situations that simply N.S.W can't .
Farah's game has continuity it's not erratic like Marshall's game , to me he justifies being signed for the next 4 years and is our leader , creator .
So your saying it's Farah's fault for the loss last night ? rubbish .

Got to agree. Tigerofbankstown, what you have written here is garbage…plain and simple. It is truly amazing how quickly people turn on this forum. 2 days ago Farah and Woods were godswho were going to win the series for the blues...now they are the scapegoats for the loss. It is laughable really. So am I to take it that Rob will become the new the whipping boy now Marshal is gone also?

Robbie killed off NSW last night
3 x dumb kicks in the 2nd half

Last year spilt the ball when attacking near the line in the last few minutes

He has done this to the Tigers many times as well - unfortunately he is not a pressure player

100% correct. He is a better player than Cameron Smith excluding the crappy options that he comes up with.

Hahahaha what a ridiculous claim. In what universe does your sentence make sense to you Steve?

Are you getting soft in your old age Happy? Dont start feeling sorry for them!
MacManus was the attacking player and Tate had every right to belt him in the air. As for Robbies kick…it was all or nothing and sometimes you need to do just that to win an origin. I had my heart in my mouth until I saw Tate coming over. It was extremely low percentage....but if it had of come off Robbie would have been written into origin folklaw. He had to try something as no-one else was prepared to....

Some tough judges of Robbie I feel… While he may of taken some low percentage options at certain stages, he gave more than most out there wearing Aqua.

Like in Game 1 & Game 2, NSW failed in the halves and they were completely ineffective.

Stryker

Im one of Farahs biggest fans

1) Farah is not Smith, Thurston, Slater, Robbie is Robbier and way less consistent than the players you have mentioned, hence old age will only add to more and more mistakes..

2) Farah kicking is erratic, though not as bad as Marshalls kicking game..

3) Not blaming Farah for the loss last night

4) I would very much like to see farah play to 70 if possible

5) I would like to see Robbie pick up the winners trophy for the tigers

6) Stryker have you ever played sport?, if you noticed Ryan Giggs, he is 40 and playing for Man Utd, but not everyone can do what Ryan Giggs has done..

Anyway, ur missing the tone of my initial comment..

Yes I have played sport. I am 38 and played my last game of footy 3 years ago. I still play cricket and Oztag.

Robbie is good enough to bounce back and again rep next year. He is not too old by any means at the moment. He will be 33 when his contract runs out. Some players have still been repping after this age. Many still play NRL after this age. As a hooker and the leader of men, he is just north of his prime. He still has a lot to offer. The young guns are good, but you need the old hard heads to show them how to play football as most of them are athletes more than footballers when they hit firsts.
If he wasnt playing hooker and halfback last night we may have seen a different result. The whole tone of this conversation would then have changed considerably.

Exactly x2

x 3 - I thought Farah was our best play-making weapon. Every time it went to Pearce the play died in the bum. If Robbie played more second receiver we would have been way more penetrating.

Stryker old son…

I was of this opinion prior to State of Origin.. Initially when he resigned for 4 years..

Thats just my personal Opinion.. not saying im right or wrong.. i just think that when he is 33 he will struggle and we will be back here having a dig at him..

To be honest, SOO doesnt mean 5% of what the Tigers mean to me.. I would like nothing more than to be proved wrong about Robbie...

If i was on the board, i would have probably signed him for 2 to 3 years and then give him a coaching gigg within the club

Farah is a champion and last night like every other night he played like a champion. If the spark did not come from him, where was it going to come from. He rolled the dice when we needed a miracle and people call it a dumb play!!!!

We all remember it. No one doubts RF can make good plays. Its that his good work is offset by dumb plays. Happens all the time.

He killed us about 4 occasions in the prelimaru final against the Dragons in 2010\. He simply isnt a clutch player.

I'll never forget that. It was shocking.
