On the snippets of info we have on the incident it dosnt look good in fact it is a nightmare revisited, but lets wait and see what transpires in court. As for trying to shift blame to the club for not "minding" him after last year is crazy, at some point footballers like everyone else must be held responsible for their actions.

Iam afraid if in fact he finds himself to be found guilty, he has to be punted their is no other out come that would fit the crime. Like Carney another team will jump at him and their will be cry's to reunite him with family in North QLD. I just think its sad because here is a kid who could have set himself up for life over the next decade but has probably just flushed it down the loo

Talent should have nothing to do with addressing such Allegations.

it shouldn't but it does. The best lawyer in a firm gets away with alot as long as he keeps producing, the worst lawyer gets sacked if he is late a few times, it is the way life works.

As i said, with these indiscretions no amount of talent will save him

…really Wests Tigers Management should have kept a closer eye of Robert , considering what happen last year around the same time .

What should the club have done? Posted a security guard with his Mrs?

If this alleged act occurred, there is only one person to blame and that is Robert Lui.

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY people.

Unfortunately these two words have been sidelined in our modern society. It seems it is every one else's fault but the perpetrator.

I'm extemely dissappointed with this "news". A sad day indeed for all involved.

ShireTiger , a I agree with your post , but let me put it this way.
My company employs 30 staff , which my brothers & I take out every Christmas and have a 11 course Italian banquet with great wines , beers & Spirits . Of course we give them all cab charges to get them all home safe & sound.
On the first Christmas of this great salesman we employed , he drunk a lot & fast & by the end of the main courses he had gone walkabout , and had got himself in a fight outside the club we were at.

The next Christmas & the next 6 after that , we made sure he sat next to one of my brothers , and even though he drank just as much and in record time , we made sure he was placed in a cab safely every time with instructions to the cabbie to go directly to the home address we gave the cabbie .

All our employees , like the Wests Tigers are like family , and you quickly learn all the good & bad traits of them .
To me it's not just a coincidence this has happen twice the morning after mad Monday

In a perfect world, Aladinsane and the WestsTigers management wouldn't have to do this.

However as we know the world is far from perfect.

It's a difficult situation to be in, as you ***shouldn't*** have to cater for all contingencies…

Aladinsane, that may work for you and your business which is fine those things happen and it's great you gave him a chance.

This is a professional business where your in the public eye everyday. If he has done this to his missus, I'd be sending him out the door. Tough luck.

Kids look up to these blokes and violence against women is a no no.

The thing that is frustrating is that Moltzen may have replaced him to give Miller some more experience. I hope Miller is ready by next season.

Very admirable Aladinsane, but…hypothetically speaking, once your employee got home safe and sound in his company paid for taxi, how did you and your company make sure that this employee did not then beat up his missus?

   I think it is just so funny that people are bringing Moltzen into this debate…. I pressuming some of you still think he is a 7?

Bahahaha

Seriously can't support a bloke "accused" of hitting any woman.

I never forgave him for last year and now its just embarrassing for the club. Can't beleave how many jokes i've heard about this already.

It comes back to your core character.

I blame our club ! Ok there is no excuse for what he done ! But for f's sake you know the kid has a problem with the drink and I assume he hasn't been on the drink during the season , just monitor him on the mad monday celebrations !!!

How the hell can you blame the club?

Seriously get a grip. Humpries going to sleep in the spare bed room at Lui's place?

He's gotta go if found guilty; looks like he will be hooking up with Cowgirls after all.

Wait for it in 2012 - released by Tigers, signed by Cowgirls after counselling etc., they will say "being closer to his family will help with his off-field behaviour".

Cowgirls get knocked out 2012, he gets arrested again and ends up playing for Les Catalans, the only club you can go to with a criminal record.

I hope his girlfriend is ok, because such behaviour is beyond despicable. The only upside is that this did not occur during the season.

I hate this attitude.

PEOPLE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS!

For all we know they did "monitor" him….you can only hold someones hand for so long, the blokes 21 a so-called adult.

I hate this crap and if found guilty I hope he does hard time
