Well Taylor was part of the Rorters Coaching Staff under Robinson when they won the Comp…I could see why he would take him back..

Jason Taylor Set To Return To NRL; Report
Sydney Roosters assistant Justin Holbrook has reportedly signed a three-year deal to coach Super League side St Helens, sparking talk of a return to the NRL club for Jason Taylor.

The Seven Network reported on Wednesday night that Holbrook, who is also coach of the Junior Kangaroos, would take over at St Helens for the remainder of the season in the UK.

Taylor, who was sacked as head coach of the Wests Tigers in March, is reportedly in line to reunite with Trent Robinson at the Bondi Junction club.

Coach Robinson and assistant Taylor steered the Roosters to the 2013 premiership.

Holbrook, who was appointed as Taylor's replacement at the Roosters in 2014, is in Canberra for the Junior Kangaroos clash with the Junior Kiwis on Friday.

JT was genuine with everything he did at the WT.. he tried his guts out but was hamstrung by an unsupportive captain who divided the club and fans who then turned on JT… plus he never had the CAP space to buy quality players..... plus he tried his guts out to appease the spoilt halves and develop their games and his tutalge to Tedesco brought him a blues jersey... I wish him every success in the future... looking back now if the club got rid of the bid 3 and kept Taylor ... who knows..

Copped a lot of unfair criticism on here in particular.

Taylor will be remembered as the Coach that put down the foundations that will build a successful team…people like Taylor are not universally liked because his job is to make decisions that a large part of the organisation will not like ! I have no doubt that what has happened with his tenure at our club will set the corse for a sustained and successful period .

Good luck JT. Assistant coach is probably the right level. Glad you found some work.

I didn't like him as a first grade coach because he isn't one. I am still shaking my head at some of those decisions he made, especially around positioning and the interchange. To me he will be remembered as a mistake, just a poor first grade coach.

He was there for two years as an assistant and they won the minor premiership both times, and the GF once.
Whatever his role was there, it seems it was a good fit.

Agree, and wish him the best. Always admired his strength of character and have even more respect for him after reading article about him and ET 's hospitalised little girl.

Thought JT was good for us. He was employed to do the dirty work and he did it.
Unfortunately when you are breaking down a "boys club" it is like stirring up a hornets nest.

Potter stirred the nest and the "boys club" turned against him - Exit Potter.

JT stirred the nest including the "Queen bee" and the "boys club" turned against him - Exit JT.

JT never had the luxury of buying players he wanted, only those he had to have because of the restrictions of our salary cap and second tier constraints. Under the circumstances I thought he did a good job.

I wish him all the best in his new venture - thanks for your efforts at Wests Tigers - I appreciated them even if most of the Forum didn't.

Cleary hasn't stirred the "Boys club" nest - he has had the power to dismantle the rest of it - Thank God!

It's official - just announced on NRL website

I fully agree with this post….JT did a great job given the circumstanced (poisoned chalice) he operated under....He went out of his way to always answer my emails; called me back and even invited me and my boys into the dressing room to meet the team and take photos etc....his League Life interview was honest and refreshing giving us an insight into the "boys club" he had to manage. I wish him nothing but success in the future...good bloke

JT's time here is mixed. Helped start to dismantle the boys club that has existed here for years but he never achieved the results he set out when he first arrived.

I believe that everything he did he felt was the right thing though and I wish him the best in his future. Maybe assistant coaching is speciality.

Was part of the Roosters staff when they won the Comp and back to back Minor Premierships..Works well with Robinson..

More importantly did Tacky receive the email concerning the appointment…

JT has committed, have you?

I have grave fears over Junior Tatola, he's the only JT Roosters haven't nicked yet.

Imagine if Tedesco actually dislikes Jason Taylor, wouldn't that be funny.

If brain cells were sticks, I doubt teddy has enough to start a fire. Therefore, I don't think he will care.

This is an opinion I've formed off the back of his recent comments, not his deflection, which I'm OK with.

I think Jason Taylor will be good for them.
