strong team.
hope we can get revenge for last year's tragic semi loss !

Can't see the Tigers knocking that lineup over given our history of poor performances in the Foundation Cup.

roosters will beat us by 20.

brian smith treats trials as serious as regular season games (remember them taking penalty goals last year) and sheens doesnt take any games serious, let alone trials.

sheens does take games very seriously. he played fitzy and beau ryan all year don't forget..

I'm bored & have some time on my hands so I'm going to do a player by player team breakdown

1]**Anthony Minichiello** & Wade McKinnon
I think Mini is the better of the two, I didn't see last weeks trial but a lot of talk of Wade's below average performance and from what I've seen of him I think they have us covered in this department.
2]Sam Perrett & **Lote Tiquri**
Hard decision, they're both rly strong players that have represented their countries. Lote edges the win because I think he is the perfect winger & such an athlete.
3]Kane Linnett & **Blake Ayshford**
I don't rate Linnett @ all, to me he looks quite average. Blake is a far superior player so he wins hands down/
4]Shaun Kenny-Dowall & **Chris Lawrence**
Again another hard decision, I chose both these guys are my centers for NRL dream team. I rate them both obviously but if I had to choose only one it's definitely Chris Lawrence. Great defender & so much speed.
5]Joseph Leilua & Matt Utai
Too hard to call, haven't seen Utai play in years & Leilua is only young, wasn't so impressive last year… but you'd have to think Utai won't have a problem defending against him.
6]Mark Kheirallah & **Benji Marshall**
TOO EASY. Benji Marshall is the greatest player in the world & I haven't even heard of this other guy. Couldn't find any info on him apart from he's an NYC winger.... No idea.
7]Mitchell Pearce & **Robert Lui**
Mitchell Pearce is over-rated. imo... chose Lui on some wishful thinking type action. Hope he rly steps up and leaves it all on the field.
8]Jason Ryles & **Bryce Gibbs**
I think Gibbsy has it all over this guy. Way better defender.
9]Jake Friend & **Robbie Farah** (c)
Another easy choice. Jake Friend is alright but no where near the caliber of Robbie Farah. I know who I'd wanna have directing my team around the park.
10]Martin Kennedy & **Keith Galloway**
Hard choice, both solid runners & defenders but I give the edge to big red.
11]**Braith Anasta** (c) & Liam Fulton
Both somewhat smaller guys playing in the back row, I give this one to Braith "Most Hated" Anasta.
12]Mitchell Aubusson & **Simon Dwyer**
Relatively young guys, I think Dwyer is the stronger of the two.
13]Nate Myles & **Chris Heinington**
QLD Rep and almost-NSW rep... Hard choice, personal preference - I choose Chris, I believe he'll make more tackles than Nate in this game.

Bench: As for the bench, will be interesting to see how both Mark Riddell & Tim Moltzen go.
With the likes of MOSE MASOE, FRANK PAUL & JWH - the roosters bench is looking somewhat stronger than ours on paper.

Aubusson offers much more to the Chooks than Dwyer does to us at this stage of his career

i even think linnett is more exciting and dangerous in attack than ayshford.

A fraction more explosive at times but an inferior defender for mine and far too much inconsistancy from what I watched through his NSW Cup and limited NRL career thus far. An exciting prospect though

Wow the doom and gloom has started early even for this site. What exactly are you disappointed about just one game played I wonder. Tim Sheens doesn't take any games seriously but Brian Smith does? Bagging players already.. All this 3 weeks before a ball is kicked in anger.
Come on guys it's not about being honest it's about getting behind the team for the coming season!!!

For me Linnett is bigger, stronger and faster than Blake but lacks in the finer aspects of centre play (positioning, etc), he is only young and that will come with time, but I rate the kid as a very exciting prospect for the Roosters. Would have him in Tigertown in a heartbeat.

Would love to see the Tigers smash my most hated team, Cocks definitely have a great squad but will miss the spark from Carney. Thought the Tigers were odds on to win last week, so I definitely am not going to write them off against the Chooks.

If we don't win, all I ask is that we hurt them…physically & why are these games not televised. Surely FOX could broadcast them interstate.
