Guys I just watched Mr. Cleary do his press conference. Can we all just step back a moment and put our thoughts and prayers to the Cleary clan during this time of crisis. Mr Cleary is starting to realize what happens when you don’t drop into an elite squad and he’s struggling. Please, just for a moment…think about the Cleary’s.

Api is one of the best players in the game. So many people are sleeping on him. He didn't win 3 premierships by being in the right place at the right time. The guy is genuinely that good. He should be the main hooker for NSW, but for Freddie's loyalty to Cook and a bit of his own stupidity off the field.

... and Kikau... Dunno about CC... it's an interesting point though, only those close would know how much influence he had and they might miss now
So far the opening round of 2023 doesnt reveal a great deal other than the Knights didnt get flogged by heaps and Penrith struggled to try and beat a broncos outfit that everyone laughed at last year and beat the premiers..much more to come in the next 5/6 rounds before we can gauge how each side is developing...Melb showed their usual true grit and although Im a die hard Tigers supporter with bias I think we will win on Sunday and keep improving as the season goes on...our youth blended with the experiences will be the factor of a good year...

They certainly did, even though Hodgson had a good game and laid on a sweet try for Paulo. After watching the first episode of “All The Way” it’s possible they miss Ciraldo as well. He appeared to be a central figure in maintaining team morale.

Was never in the game. He could easily have had confidence in Walters getting his man, while he paid more attention to the try scorer. He also needs a lot of short sprint training.

After seeing Soni Luke play, they will miss Kikau more than Api this year. Garner and Salmon don't draw the defenders in like Kikau does. There's gonna be a lot less space on that left edge now.

Be interesting to see Soni impact if he gets consistent starting time.
He looks good running but he didn’t organize anything and Cleary was actually middle of the park more when he was on. They really struggled for any structure more so than when Kenny was on. Early rounds the fatigue factor is always high for an impact player late in games.
It’s one game, let’s gauge the importance of Api over some time to both Panthers and us.

It seemed to play out in slow motion as I watched it, with Walters looking totally lost and bewildered as the ball was planted. Luckily for him they got the result regardless.
