Round 1 Thoughts

Lot of new guys in Round 1, opponent was a top 4 quality team playing at home and we were missing Douehi at 6. We matched them for the first 40 and lost largely because of our own errors in the second half. And it's only Round 1. Chooks are a couple down this week. Don't think we're the roughest chance to knock them off.

Madden should of asked for a release instead of re-signing with the club for another year hes never gonna get a go in 1st grade

Considering he got hooked in NSW Cup yesterday he's nowhere near ready for FG

from what ive seen of brooks over the last year is he ready for first grade ?

i like brooks i really do but this luke brooks from 2020 onwards would be lucky to start in state cup for any other team

That is a crazy big and talented Raiders team. We aren't in their class.

But we weren't that bad. We won't play teams that huge every week and we won't be as fatigued as a result.

I take a lot of heart in the recruitment. Our best and brightest today were all recruited on Maguire's watch.

NO , Simkin was Madge, the rest were Hartigan. The plodders were Madge.

Rubbish - you are assuming....YOU DO NOT KNOW THAT!

I would suggest it is a combination of both. That's my opinion anyway.

Watched the game last night.
Really don’t see the reason to knife Liddle.
A key area I think would of made a difference is not over running the ball. Whether that be off the half or at the play the ball. 3 steps deeper would of made a huge difference. Also would reduce forward passes at the ruck.(really annoys me but all teams do it)
The other is DONT PUSH THE OFFLOAD IN YOUR OWN 30.
And get deeper for the kick.

Always next week as long as we improve against the ROOSTERS. Certainly AD in the halves should be better than Mybe, Talua interested to see how he goes.

Forwards i have nil concerns they played well last week, just need some cohesion with our spine.
