For me, this was the best decision from Benji and co for this week's game.

Api is fresh off a bye with another bye coming after 2 games. I expect him to play 80 both weeks (barring any injury).

TDS needs minutes in his legs....if Api does go down he goes from 15 mins to 40/50+ the following week.

Hope is not chosen above him....but the opposite. We play in NQLD Saturday night and Cup play 3pm Saturday. Therefore Hope will be 18th man and most likely get no game time this weekend.

Exactly same thoughts I had. Great observation mate.

Let's be honest we just don't have the players

This is Tim Sheen's 2.0 and his philosophy was to pick the best players in the club that's why sometimes you had two good backs on the bench instead of two crap forwards

We just don’t have the quality of reserves to cover when we lose any of our Top 17
We are still years away from being able to compete weekly against most other teams in this competition once injury and suspensions come into play.
We need to stick with Richo and Benji for at least another 2 years and have trust that they will get us up to being competitive with every other team.

What's depressing for the fans is the usual mid year disintegration
Lose our star 5/8 ( although I think he's became an overated brat )
Still missing Skelton ,Latu and Pole and we have no clue for how long
Still no new signings although Richo promised 2 or 3
Club doesn't seem like things are great
Fans left in the dark and left to fantasy recruitment and selections
Benji and Richo need to hold a mid year press conference to let their long suffering fans know WHATS GOING ON !

Wouldn’t be good if it were different, even just for one year.

Big step up for Mason, deserves a chance but not confident, hope I'm wrong and I hope he defends on Batemans side imagine Nanai and these giants running at him, Seyfarth and Fainu.

There has been a few outside backs available with NRL experience around in lower grades but for some reason we don't offer them 1 year contracts
