TEAM LIST Round 14 vs Panthers

Team List
I’m going out on a Bobby Limb here ... but the loser of this game can kiss goodbye to any hope of playing semis.

It’s not really ‘all or nothing’ this weekend, rather ‘maybe something’ or nothing 🤷‍♂️
You must be an old fart like I am B2T 😍 mentioning the great entertainer, Bobby Limb.

But you're probably not as old as I am. I 'may' be the eldest on here @ 78 yoa as I haven't seen anyone fess up to being older.
And I still have the mental acuity to write sensibly 🤣, even though 99.9% of this forum will probably disagree 😆, especially cochise 😂.

Luv Yuh cochise 😍😍.

And like me, you are still accused of complete and utter bullshit.

Hard to believe the hatred in people my son.

I like Adel's idea on the Wests tigers life podcast of trying API at 13 and TDS at hooker. I think attack wise Api would play that role well. Perhaps bring talyn on after 20 or 30 and play him for the rest. I feel we stifle our attack by playing very limited attacking big men like Twal in that role. And our mobility in both attack and defense is pretty limited compared to many teams out there.

Obviously the issue would be defense. But I could see that also not being too bad in that both TDS and API are good for line speed and they could potentially take turns on playing the disruptor role in charging in ahead of the line. Api misses some tackles but many of his misses are simply from him playing that role of disruptor. I think it would mean that we'd need a stronger tackler out wide than seyfarth.

I think it'd be worth trying as a way of getting our best 13 on the field as well as giving decent minutes to TDS.

Yes sir, I 💯agree 🙂.
And come to think of it, wouldn't you think that all the youngsters on here, anyone below 60 yoa that is 😉, would give old farts more respect 😡.
Our world needs more 🥰😍 and less 😖🤬.

Gameplan is easy - their edges are weak. Spread the footy early and often, it'll help us in yardage too. To'a should be getting plenty of early footy

Terrified of what Seyfarth will produce in the middle. He will get smashed by Yeo and Leota and I hope he isn't asked to pass the ball much, otherwise it'll be errors galore. Let May do it

Hope Kit goes well, been a fan of his. Hope he comes on as a ball playing lock

Id prefer Royce gets a spray and another chance to perform from off the bench.. He's not our marquee signing / co-captain getting sin binned 7 minutes into a hugely important game.
I’ve got a feeling that Hunt is going to be out next major problem. By nature, and his actions,ie overweight/vaping, he has an addictive personality who may not have the self discipline to overcome his shortfalls. I hope I’m wrong but that’s what I’m thinking about him. He could be up for trade by seasons end.

Could be a good idea but would depend on who the other 4 forwards are. In other words, no Hunt

I would have Api coming off the bench to replace TDS.

Api at 13?

I’m all in favour of unconventional thought and fresh thinking, but that’s force 10 novelty value and I for one, I simply can’t get there.

I’d prefer a 13 who is younger, stronger and can make genuine tackles.

Plus at 13 in a disruptive role, he would be found out pretty quick.

By all means, we can have a crack at it at some stage, but with some desire and effort, especially from the pack, I think we can beat the panthers.

After running riot late last week. Ivan is on notice.

But thanks for posting, love the idea as an idea.

very hard to tip us this week

Does anyone know the odds of us getting the spoon?

I'd assume Titans would be first and Eels/ Tigers second favourites?

Dragons, Dolphins, Cowboys, Manly have all had a more consistent season than us so far this year.

Rumours circulating around Des he won’t see next season as the titan coach.

Clauses in his contract.

I like the cut of his jib and wanted him to coach when Madge was butchered.

But BA looks to be available.

Either one would be a great mentor for Benji.

As for the spoon, unlikely but still quite possible.

The NRL market had us at 10-12 inclusive at the start of the season.

We've got Panthers, Raiders and Manly twice, Dogs once, Roosters and Cowboys once. We will likely bs long odds to win most of those games. But also Titans twice, where we might be favourites.

Knights usually finish the season well.

The last round game Titans vs Tigers might be another spoonbowl.

Quite so, but maybe:

Titans can lift at times as well, they’ve got some handy players and Des.

The Raiders usually start their annual choke-fest due to commence in a few weeks or so. The wheels always fall off. You can almost set your calendar to it.

Manly are also quite fickle this season while the knights are not without their own troubles.

The dogs have proven that they are a lot more vulnerable than people think. They are long overdue for a solid spell of rubbish.

It’s an old cliche, but we really need to look at what we are doing. We remain a bit ill disciplined and lose critical focus.

I think Benji is finally shaking up a few things. So I support the theory of the side v Penrith, as for the practice, we don’t know. But he is having a swing and not waiting for scraps later.

The riff have the same support structure etc but like Benji, Ivan is having issues communicating. They have enough to make a finals show, but they aren’t pushing through. It would be deeply frustrating for them. Their bench this week is a footy funeral cortège compared to ours. It’s their pack I worry about.

Plus we have the balance of the origin series to sap our opponents.
