TEAM LIST Round 2 vs. Raiders

Team List
Sezer at 14 suggests 2 things:
1. Simpkin out of favour and possibly about to be released
2. Sullivan to relieve Api, with Sezer going in at 7

Olam missing first game of season suggests due diligence on his fitness before signing may have been botched.
You couldn't put Sullivan to defend at 9 unless you want to get steamrolled up the middle.

Sezer will come on if we have an injury, are going bad or to close out the game if we are ahead.

the seyfarth hate is just getting dumb he was one of the best forwards in the nz trial
Not sure it is hate - he had good tempo and had a go - but as a lock his ball playing in the trial was close to non existent. Then again our lateral movement was also next to none. I simply want to see more in attack that run hard. If he ran a few decent lines at gaps and played the ball before or at the line on occasions he could be more dangerous.

I haven't seen a lot of Sullivan. What makes you think he can't defend? Didn't he play some 9 at Dragons?

The sceptic in me is not impressed with this side.
However judgement shall be reserved until the game has been played.
Good luck to them.
Let's be real. The double wooden spooners have recruited no marquee players for 2024. We still have probably the weakest squad

Unless several debutantes exceed expectations, bottom 4 if not spoon #3 coming up.

Benji as a player was always the first one to roll the dice. Clearly his first venture as an NRL Coach has delivered similar hallmarks. One thing his decision to debut Soloman Fataape and Lachie Galvin will certainly do is light a fire under our next generation of potential tiger superstars. Youngsters like O. Large, Laulili, Da Silva, Matai, and Makasini will be salivating at the prospect of an NRL reward for effort. Benji's edict of íf you're old enough you're good enough' will have these youngsters champing at the bit. By identifying a proven pathway to first grade the NRL coach has offered hope and direction to our new set of youngsters. Let's hope the initial steps aren't' too rocky!

Can we fit him in the cap?
it's well known that Benji get's into LO for free cos he wears his Cap down low covering his grey splashes and eating an ice cream hides the beardie bits = he looks like a ten y.o. As for the salary bit - since Aloioa left Benji has been moonlighting on the Victa. Apparently, he will play for petrol & ice cream money.
