Just on the Olam tackle its so difficult to actually tell where the contact was even now, people are trying to bring up angles and shots to justify or to not justify it.
So with that being said it should never have been a send off, it wasn't conclusive 10 in the bin and on report at worst imo.
It was an obvious momentum shifter, i honestly think without that incident we go on to win and reasonably well. There was a 12 point margin until the final seconds and we had 12 men for the last 1/2 hour.
If i was Benji i would have gone all Sticky on them and taken the 10 grand fine, as long as we allow this to keep happening without technically calling them out in realtime it will keep happening.

That was the same officials that cost us the game against the Cowboys two years ago. They manipulated the final score last time. Never expected much difference this time.

Interesting to see Porter start to offload. Growing in confidence. He runs pretty decent lines, generally tackles well, although a mistake here and there under pressure. He also plays 80 minutes without blowing a candle out.

I'll be watching him closely the back end of the year to see if that confidence continues to grow. Quite a handy back up really.

Ive laid out my 'reasoning'.
Once we get better, our reputation will improve.
For instance we'll be able to send 3 blokes into a tackle and not be penalised every time the ball comes free because the refs will believe that our guys dont always rake at the ball. At the moment, even I think they do. We have to review a lot of decisions currently as it is assumed we are in the wrong due to history saying that is usually the case.

As for the refs...I think the game is getting to fast for them to see everything. I am not sure what can be done about that. Should A.I. be employed? I dont know.

To me the refs opinion of us is irrelevant . And the fact it’s not is ridiculous. If they are unable to be objective because they have a bias , whether reputation based or other is just ridiculous for an elite sport .
It’s just semantics we are debating right now . Everyone is in agreement it’s happening , the difference is whether the reasons are justified ie. past performance is contributing to current referee decisions .
Especially when the teams that are taking the field lately are nearly 50-60% flegg , cup and ball players .
I understand the sentiment , and agree with what your saying about better play =ore fair of a shake with the calls , but come on man ! It shouldn’t be a variable . And it’s shit that it is . Not only for the tigers but any other club who is tarred with a brush .
I watch a lot of different sports , and this is the only one , where the fans debate a teams quality is related to a fair shake from a referee .
It’s just not a ref’s job .
