Especially when the teams that are taking the field lately are nearly 50-60% flegg , cup and ball players .
I understand the sentiment , and agree with what your saying about better play =ore fair of a shake with the calls , but come on man ! It shouldn’t be a variable . And it’s shit that it is . Not only for the tigers but any other club who is tarred with a brush .
I watch a lot of different sports , and this is the only one , where the fans debate a teams quality is related to a fair shake from a referee .

They are just imbeciles, I heard a ref tell a captain the other day the penalty count was 8-3. Obviously getting tips in his ear. They are concentrating too much on perception and not on policing fairly.

In all due respect I think that’s a defeatist attitude . We are soo far behind in the political battle in the nrl it’s not funny . One of the big reasons we were so successful during the sheens era was his ability to communicate with the blazer brigade and the decision makers across the nrl including the referees .
We should be leaving no stone unturned , and to me the bias of the referees needs to be addressed , because we can’t beat 14 players . It’s beyond difficult.

But in these last few years it’s beyond crazy. And of course it’s made even worse by the fact that as a team we are so dependant on the run of the green , because we arnt up to the standard , and have been found wanting from the change to vlandys ball . People forget , prior to vldsndys ball in the pre Covid season , we were tipped for a top 8 spot . We never adapted and recruited poorly , but I digress , the issue IMHO , is much like Luke brooks , there’s been soo many dum dums fill these guys heads full of junk , they can’t interpret for themselves anymore .
So it becomes a case of what’s the outcome that will have the least affect on the season . And penalty tigers , because we are so bad , is the answer to that question .
But I’ll say again , why is that question even being asked ! It’s the ref job to stay out of the way , it’s not union , the fabric of the game isn’t at the mercy of the ref . That’s the whole issue .
Origin is such a spectacle because the ref puts the whistle away . And whilst soo much of that type of football can’t be allowed in week to week nrl , the current a million penalties a game , and endless 6 agains with no explanation ever for what most of them are for , is not good . And whilst yes I have black and gold glasses on , just go into the roosters forum or any other , and the narrative is the same .
The ref and officials in this game needs complete revamp and come to Jesus because it is just not working .
And The disciple Klein and anymore who is influenced by him and the Sutton family , are the reason for it .

Interesting to see in the Sharks vs Souths game in the 7th minute Cameron McInnes whacks Sean Keppie with severe force across the head .The refs reaction NOTHING !
No penalty no sin bin ? The commentators were amazed that the ref standing close did nothing . 10 mins later on bunker advice he was belatedly put on report and gets a small fine . If that had been a Tiger he would have at least be binned .
In fairness to the ref it was a sharks home game !! LOL

A.I should be the bunker. Human judgment is always subject subconscious bias.

Sorry mate, no disrespect when I say this, but this comment right here is the problem.

If we don't win, it's always someone elses fault. Penrith are able to win without Origin players all the time. That is true success...overcoming all adversity.

We are going to have bad calls, we are going to have injuries, we are going to have suspensions and we are going to lose players to other clubs. The mark of a good team is being able to overcome whatever is thrown at you, yet for us, all the stars need to align perfectly to jag the win. We are just not good enough and until we address that, we will keep losing.
