LIVE GAME Round 25 vs. Sea Eagles

Live Game Discussion
(Per NBWT on "X")

Lachlan Galvin (19 years, 18 days) and Latu Fainu (19 years, 65 days) become Wests Tigers youngest ever halves pairing.
WOW!
We will get to see them paired together at Campbelltown in a fortnight as HOF Benji said Sezar will not play again this year.

Should be a good test and attacking game for us as Latu's pass to Seyfarth last night was sensational and fooled everyone. The future is exciting and if we can avoid the spoon and finish the year with 3 in a row that will make the off season a little better.

If Api has a shoulder issue we could have TDS and the junior halves out there together and see what 2025 and beyond looks like. Now finish the week with a few strong re-signings or new players and that will make my fathers day gift for next weekend.

I've thought for a while that this team reminds me of the Baby Broncos when they came last without a top quality 7 to guide the youngsters around. Poor old Sezer kept being suspended, which made it hard to form combinations.

Not sure WT can rise up the table as quickly as the Broncs, but they might at last be able to return to the glory days of ninth 😉

Side note ... Tommy Turbo might be the GOAT when he's fit and firing. He almost saved the game for Manly multiple times. Never seen a more destructive player with ball in hand.

The Broncs had some excellent packs during that year with many current SOO players turning out for them

It was simply a poor read. Can't blame Alaimalo he has to follow his inside man to keep "the line" otherwise they would just run in behind him. They shoudl have continued towards the ball carrier - it was an error that shold be picked up on the tape and worked on in preparation for Parra. It was clear last night just how much we don't need AD; he is a liability.
They were also outmanned 5-2. That was always going to be a try no matter what they did. Alaimalo gets bagged on here but he's going to be good for us. His reacts to his inside in defence which looks like he's making bad reads but it's all coming from inside. When his inside is good he rarely misses.

Has anyone mentioned how Stefano just left Mason posted for Tom to score?
While the big fella can look awesome carrying the ball at times, he remains quite heartless is the big moments. That play that got manly to 22 points are the ones the best front rowers get themselves in the way to help the fullback. Fisher Harris makes that tackle, yet Stefano didn't even try. Simply let Tom run past him.
Always been his problem. The last few weeks, players have put a last minute step on him, not even very good ones, and he just stands there like a post while they stroll off under the posts. It's glaring. And it's disappointing.

Manly imploding was just bizarre.

All they had to do was trot out a standard game, wear us down a bit and turbo on.

But they got antsy

It’s hard to pick a favourite try but on review I can’t go past APIs.

He had no right to score it from so far out with so much defence in front of him. A single target for 4 or 5 would-be grand finalists

He jinked and twisted, it was superb and why he remains extraordinary.

And shock horror, at the end, there was some backing up.

Tom had a great game, but this effort from Api was brilliant and as it turned out, undefendable.

On the back of that, we roared back into the game!

So in all the fracas, spare a thought for powers of Api in attack.

Turbo had no right to score his 2nd try. Blasphemy.

Come on SK, how long have you been watching football. Wash the Tommy love out of your eyes.
