These new rules make it very hard for the team who’s behind to make a comeback. In all three games it’s been fairly even, one team gets a few calls and then they run away with it. Obviously the losing teams haven’t been good but we are yet to see a close contest unless Rabbitohs stage a comeback.

That doesn't bother me. Neither the broncs or the tits have a decent spine to get them back into a contest. Its getting back to footy.

Leads to less exciting footy if this keeps up. Personally not a fan of watching blowouts

I'm fine with it if it leads to bringing back more footy players and less 100kg robots with no skills just running lines.
I have no problem at all with skillful players running rough shot over guys that just happen to be athletic.

There’s never been more skill in footy than there is now. We’ve had some of the greatest playmakers of all time with the two ref system in place.

Not being rude or sarcastic mate but you're fairly young?

I am but I still know Thurston, Cronk, Smith are some of the best every playmakers we’ve seen. Obviously there’s been plenty of great playmakers in the past as well but the game has evolved a long way

Mate, nothing wrong with being young, you have a lot of very good opinions about football but tend to overrate the current game a little too much, just like us oldies do with the game we remember from when we were younger. Cronk was a great organising half but was not a great ball player, he was actually an athlete turned inti a halfback with incredibly hard work and determination. Ballplaying wasn't natural to him.

I agree both demographics talk their version of the game up ? in 50 years I’ll be doing the same I’m sure talking about the good old days. Cronk rarely gets a kick or a pass wrong which is my idea of skilful.

Watch some highlights of early Benji or go even further and watch some plays from Cliff Lyons. They were magical ball players that would get balls to players in positions you wouldn't believe. Cronk just can't do that.

So pleased we didnt waste1m+ on LM.Some people on here wanted him at any price but he is and probably always will be an underachiever

He's in the wrong position and appears to be in the wrong headspace. I'm hope he sorts it out because he's a great player when on song.

Latrell all smiles and buddy buddy with his ex team mates after loss....says it all..he''s not Robinson Crusoe in that regard but nothing get on my goat more..

Someone mentioned the old days ..if Tommy or Dallas lost they'd more likely punch the opposition in the face..

These days everyone gets a ribbon..

Agreed. I hate it. He just put in a poor performance for the third time and he couldn’t care less.

Bennett is playing the dally M centre at fullback and the dally M lock at second row. Both really need to be moved back to their real positions, Latrell has done one decent thing at fullback but he’s been really bad there

So not having a go at him but three games at fullback for Mitchell have all been very average at best. Positional play terrible and involvement minimal. Very expensive experiment when he could be arguably the games best centre

Yeah I was thinking the same. I thought he was pretty ordinary with virtually no involvement at all. When breaks were made by Souths outside backs he was nowhere to be seen! Compare that to Tedesco who is always backing up in the middle when a break is made, but I guess comparing him to the best fullback in the comp is a bit unfair - it's still early days for Mitchell at fullback. Joey thought he was good, I suppose he would know better than I would 😂

Yes he is a centre and he is a decent one at about 450-500k.some people on here where talking up to an obscene 1.3-1.4m to play for us as FB.Thank god Madge want that crazy

Klein pulls a marker not square penalty out his rear end after chooks offside for an hour

Yeah great hey

So why can't you use your captains challenge at a stop in play to challenge that .....

Took Robbo 2 games to work it out ...Parra seemed to be testing the 10 metres as well

10s been very skinny in the two games I've seen... Yeah, great huh.
I guess you're after perfection...

Mate without a skinny 10 the score line will be 65 to 52. Between the NRL, refs and broadcasters they will get it right in a month or so and slow it down a tad

Fair call, I was on that boat.

I'm a little late to the party here, but how does JWH get away with raising his forearm every week?

The commentators always say 'he has the bumpers up' but there is a huge difference between bracing for contact and raising the arm/elbow, which is what he does every time he runs the ball. He raised the forearm into Knight's face and left him bleeding and no one said a word about it. I hate seeing it every week. Guarantee you if either Leilua did that they'd be looking at 6 weeks on the sideline.

Same with Klemmer lifting his knee right into defenders every single run. If they only hurt someone every few weeks it’s allowed I guess

After counting to 15 -20 plus, I gave up how many times Mitchell was out of position.

At this stage (and I mean now) he is not a Full Backs bootlace.

We certainly dodged a bullet there. Mitchell was awful at the back. 2 runs in 40 minutes of football for a fullback is dreadful.

Glad we didn't get him in the end, though I wasn't at the time.

I was very keen early , until I realised how he was more interested in the social ,park footy type vibes . Nothing wrong with that by the way... if you’re playing Sydney grade. He looks over weight. And people were saying it’s not that big of a deal at the time . But it is , if he’s wearing the 1 and he can’t keep up.
Like josh said, if the difference between losing and winning is a few key repeat sets , then it’s got to be pretty worrying as a footy fan . Let alone how his mental health must be. Serious Owen Craigie links now . It’s not just circumstantial anymore.
