I honestly gave them no real chance tonight but now I am sooooo happy for them (and us)!
AD looked so slow but somehow seemed to make so many breaks. Madden so solid in most aspects (except his D).
I thought they bullied us especially in the second half and we struggled to make ground in our sets, but our D held well. When we ran the ball on our left side we made good yards and breaks that led to trys. Tavana and Bula chased really well and got us some good results with their efforts. Maka had a mixed game especially with his handling. Really at this stage he needs to play wing rather than centre.
Benji is bagged heavily by many on here but all his decisions seem to be coming up trumps and there is no doubt the lads are playing for him.

The ref was shocking tonight . The sin bin was ridiculous, a some of the warriors “penalties” were ridiculous . He also did the circus 2020 ref strategy of sending someone to the bin and then penalises the non offending team so the score stays the same.
Andrew Gee has gone from the best ref in the game to one shit call away from going back to nsw cup .

We got the calls tonight. Tino knocked on in the bomb contest that got us the ball back for Royce's try.

We got the sin bin which I agree with but still a big call.

And KPP wasnt square at marker then dived into the ruck which you arent allowed to do. We then went up field to score.

Definitely a poor refereeing performance for both teams, but we got the bug calls.

Much improved by Makasini in that second half defensively.

Probably a game he wants to forget but his adjustment showed a lot about him.

I think another learning curve for him. Remember we have 2 makeshift centres, so it makes it all the more worthwhile.

I reckon that's Benji's best win as a coach, its was all heart, guts and effort. Backs against the wall going into it Warriors on home turf in the wet missing a big chunk of your best players.
So damn impressive The pack was great led by Twally he's having a huge year he's like a colossus 🤣 Doueihi carved up but Jock gave him the space as he controlled the game, bit suss in D but he can be forgiven. So many good games thought Tavana had a good debut as well he should be pleased massive win.

I agree the young guys definitely deserve a lot of credit, did they make mistakes, yes but more importantly when they did they did not drop their heads. They made mistakes and they worked hard to make up for it. The resilience shown by the whole team is something we have been lacking & tonight was all about resilience, fight & fitness. This could be a huge turning point for the team & it is definitely a confidence boost they needed.

It’s a big thing for a young emerging player such as Makasini to know that he can have a bad night making multiple errors, but as long as he keeps giving 💯 until the final whistle he can still contribute to his teams win.

I had to stop when we were down 10-0 and somehow we equalized by half time and then put on a show.
Seriously this was an awesome display from the guys.

Jock is a halfback, we won. Ofcourse he was targetted and ofcourse he will miss. We won and he held it together.

Madden has been more than serviceable so far. Doueihi doing what Doueihi does. He must be one the most deceptive players in the comp. Never looks like doing damage, but always gets through the line.
