Stick out a leg.I'm in the Cumberland lounge on Monday thanks to my daughter
The home team runs on right thru the middle of that lounge
You can high five them etc
Thank God won't see Galvin doing that run on

I was cautious against Newcastle and Parra first time round, and still feel doubtful here. Tigers usually stink it up after eventful weeks, ala spoon bowl last year. Parra have a good backline, their forwards look a little weak, particularly our former tiger second row. You'd think if we play composed organised football that we should have enough, but we've seen that situation before.
It would be really good for the club if we could win this and doueihi plays well. I think playing him at halfback puts him in a distribution role which I like. His trouble in the past in the halves was getting a bit confused and hogging the ball too much, a bit like Galvin. He seems a different player this year, much smarter and playing for the team. I hope it continues.
You'd think they'd be vulnerable on the edges with their second rowers who don't like tackling so hopefully lots of balls to samuela and Bula out wide.
Nervous about Naden, but hopefully the reports of improved attitude come true.
I like laulilii on the wing, even if he has a few errors in him.
🤞🤞🤞Look before any backline discussions come into this, Parra and their novice coach are going to have to have their hands full dealing with our forward pack first.
After that. I predict that this is the match where Luai really turns up for us. I reckon once he gets to play his running game with Galvin out of the way, The eels won't know what's hit them.
IMO this is a watershed game for the Eels and with Lomax out I’d say Moses has put up his hand. Will lift the entire squad ( especially Dylan Brown).Moses when interviewed a week ago said he would be back rd9 so it sounds like Parra getting desperate bringing him back 2 weeks early

In my experience the torpedo has a little more risk to it - easier to get it 'wrong'. But when hit perfectly, it's a killer!Won’t his lingering injury impact his kicking game? Isn’t that the reason he wasn’t goal-kicking?
I’d love to see some more of those torpedoes!
And btw - can someone explain to me why the torpedo isn’t used waaay more often?
I mean, those big kicks that end up down the throat of the fb or wingers, boring! seem like a waste compared to the chaos a torp can cause.
I'm glad games aren't played on paper - because that's a pretty useful Eels line up.IMO this is a watershed game for the Eels and with Lomax out I’d say Moses has put up his hand. Will lift the entire squad ( especially Dylan Brown).
I imagine the intensity for this game will be high and whilst we were dominant last week against an inept Knights, we did waste a lot of possession. Can’t afford that on Monday.
Major concern for me( and many others) is if our boys have their “ heads on” after yet another upheaval.
Let’s hope that’s a BIG YES.
Agree if the forwards are focussed we win easy.We can kill them up the middle. Then we need to send it right to Bula, To'a and Turuva
Keep it simple. Doueihi plays straight as first receiver and feeds it out the back to Luai.
Pole and May can kill these guys
It's never an easy win! But 20+ would be lovely!!Easy win. Tigers 20+
Very good summation Jolls. So what does the AD/Galvin shuffle mean on the paddock?
Galvin to Cup and AD into the halves is a significant shift in team dynamics and strategy. The big unknown this week is how the team dynamics will be affected.
Sidelining Galvin has emphasised the team first approach that Benji is trying to build. However, there is also the possibility that elements of the playing group ostracising Galvin have had a negative effect on team harmony; e.g., how is Bula affected by the turmoil. This is something Benji will need to address today. Putting that intangible aspect aside let's look at what AD brings to the party.
AD has long been seen, by some, as one of our most talented players — big body, strong running game, a big boot, and plenty of confidence. Others, including myself, have concerns about his defensive ability and commitment. Having said that his performances, so far in 2025, have been sound.
My biggest concern is that AD is pretty one-dimensional and it won't take long for the defence to start reading him. His tendency to run first, and the lack of subtlety in his passing game are his key weaknesses. Luai will need to be at his creative best to counter this.
His physicality and direct running game should result in a simple, more structured and assertive attacking approach. This change compliments Romey's playmaking abilities, potentially resulting in a more balanced halves partnership than we have seen with Galvin.
AD has a big, but sometimes inaccurate boot. When he's on, he can relieve pressure through 40/20s, pin opponents deep and help us win the field position battle. However, when his kicking game is off it is usually very off. Let's trust that last week was his off game!
This week I expect that AD will be asked to play a simple power-based structure in support of his edge. If Luai and Api manage the tempo of the game AD should be able to pick his moments.
AD as a half is a high-risk, high-reward play. IF he brings intensity, aggression, and his big boot he will be a great asset. If the other AD turns up Moses will carve him up.
Intensity is the key word. Always looks like he’s in second gear to me. Want to see him fight for every inch. He’s definitely got ability. So what does the AD/Galvin shuffle mean on the paddock?

As you touched on Doueihi is a much more diamonds or rocks type of 5/8 where Galvin is a bit more consistent in what he brings.
Doueihi is very classy on his day, let’s hope that day is Easter Monday against the Eels.
The way the players have basically said one in all in to protect Benji, the club and culture they're building. The fact what Galvin has done they have taken it personally, knowing that Parra is prob one of the two teams he has shafted them, the club and Benji to possibly sign for. This is personal. The Wests Parra rivalry is at another level now. If he signs with Manly, Parra or Dogs whoever it is, these guys the whole time they're togeather will circle that game every year. What Galvin did was light a firework up the Tigers rear ends, these guys will not only go out there to win but to maul them. I sense for the players now this season is personal it's about now proving to this kid and his supporters who criticised them, the club and coach they adore that they are good enough and good enough without him. He's not in the team, that'll make the boys rev up even more as a massive f u to him, that we can win and win big without the piss ant. There is no hope in hell of any complacency this week, Parra are in for a week of pain after the game.Look before any backline discussions come into this, Parra and their novice coach are going to have to have their hands full dealing with our forward pack first.
