So what does the AD/Galvin shuffle mean on the paddock?

Galvin to Cup and AD into the halves is a significant shift in team dynamics and strategy. The big unknown this week is how the team dynamics will be affected.

Sidelining Galvin has emphasised the team first approach that Benji is trying to build. However, there is also the possibility that elements of the playing group ostracising Galvin have had a negative effect on team harmony; e.g., how is Bula affected by the turmoil. This is something Benji will need to address today. Putting that intangible aspect aside let's look at what AD brings to the party.

AD has long been seen, by some, as one of our most talented players — big body, strong running game, a big boot, and plenty of confidence. Others, including myself, have concerns about his defensive ability and commitment. Having said that his performances, so far in 2025, have been sound.

My biggest concern is that AD is pretty one-dimensional and it won't take long for the defence to start reading him. His tendency to run first, and the lack of subtlety in his passing game are his key weaknesses. Luai will need to be at his creative best to counter this.

His physicality and direct running game should result in a simple, more structured and assertive attacking approach. This change compliments Romey's playmaking abilities, potentially resulting in a more balanced halves partnership than we have seen with Galvin.

AD has a big, but sometimes inaccurate boot. When he's on, he can relieve pressure through 40/20s, pin opponents deep and help us win the field position battle. However, when his kicking game is off it is usually very off. Let's trust that last week was his off game!

This week I expect that AD will be asked to play a simple power-based structure in support of his edge. If Luai and Api manage the tempo of the game AD should be able to pick his moments.

AD as a half is a high-risk, high-reward play. IF he brings intensity, aggression, and his big boot he will be a great asset. If the other AD turns up Moses will carve him up.

AD is way more than what you have described here. He's a damn good footy player. He was better than solid when he played against Parra in that pre season trial. He bossed it. Kicked 5/5, kicked a 40/20, big, long cut out passes to the left side, 2 try assists if i recall correctly.

Still only 26, has no shortage of pace. Don't forget he was stuck playing Madgeball next to Brooks for a lot of his time at the club. He gets to play eyes up footy now. He'll go well.

Benny Elias is so compromised he's basically family with the Moses camp
Sounds like he's trying defend the undependable. Elias is not a "Wests Tigers first " person anymore ? Hes lost my respect
I posted a scathing rant earlier about Benny I was so pissed off with his input on 360, had to walk away from the forum for a while and cool down, not hard to see that him and Riccio are as thick as thieves with Issac Moses it's just sickening.
Yes your right the club should give him the cold shoulder after that rubbish spewing from his mouth.

Riccio showed how pathetic he is with that fake clown laugh whilst looking around validation. He just couldn’t hold it in anymore. It’s just one big game.

Braith and Gordy do not sugarcoat anything and made him sound like the fool that he is.
Isaac is family to him by marriage, so understandably he has sone loyalty towards him, but why come on at all if you are just intending to criticise your own club ?
Loves hearing his own crap, just like his brother in law Isaac, two peas in a pod.

I was thinking the same thing before the show V it would be stupid for him to be on tonight but no he had to put his 10 cents worth in, big chance he ends up at Parra now just a gut feeling.

He is family. He’s their uncle. He is Mitchell and Steven’s uncle. Steven is Mitches brother and works for Moses as an agent. They are all related.

Call me greedy, but I want 40.

Still very nervous about this game but if we can win and win convincingly it will be the statement that we needed to make and will go a long way to solidifying what could be a very successful season, lose and the backlash from the media and fan base would be intolerable.
Bugger that, Hank! I was in Bay105 screaming "We want 50!" 50 is good!!
