OFFICIAL Royce Hunt - Official

Yep I like it. Will be great for Pole and will bring out competition for alpha forward. Running off Api - looking forward to it
If we could big red on top of that even better
Man , Stef benefited massively playing off Api. The sharp spike in his performance , definitely coincided with running off Api. And because TDS is basically a sponge for api and Robbie , his service is very similar as well .
Harry is a weapon , but his ruck manipulation isn’t exactly consistently elite . And he is prone to the more than occasional forward pass .
I think any middle would relish to run off Api .
I can see Royce being an absolute weapon close to the line .

Big red or Leo Thompson, Daniel Saifiti is digging
his heels in, he's on +800k next year, can see either
one of them leaving due to the cap, or Adam Elliot

Hunt is a great signing, even at 40mins a game, he adds the mongrel our team has lacked for an eon. Lead by example and go ape shit for 20min stints. When was the last time a forward in a Tigers jersey actually ran through the line? Ive lost my voice for years yelling at the TV for a forward to crash onto the ball from 5metres out to fall over the line for a try, never happens. Lack of talent, footy IQ and size has crippled the team for a decade.

10. Klemmer
9. Api / TDS
8. Hunt (20mins start to rip in, 20 mins second half)
11. S Fainu
12. Horse
13. Pole

15. S Fainu
16. Twal
17. Seyfarth/Kit/Johanssenn/Miller

The pack in 2025 is 1000% better than 2024 if Richo gets Horsburgh over the line. Finally some decent depth. 2026 will be even stronger when Richo offloads old skinny Klemmer and signs another 1 or 2 NRL standard forwards. The issue has ALWAYS been our depth from day 1 of the joint venture. Glad the brains at the club have employed Richo who understands the clubs 25 year long issue and is fixing it. Accountability for piss poor performances going forward. Pull your finger out or get on the concreting jobsite.

I don't mind that pack but Horsbough on an edge? Can he play there, maybe he can I just thought he was more of a middle. But in saying that I've never paid him any attention really.

Hard to say but i think he offers more than current form Bateman at second row. He has played a million games off the bench to fit where needed when he comes on, started mostly at lock and front row and a few games at second row. Pole should have the 13 locked up as a 3rd prop role ala Gallen. 2025 pack is demonstrably more solid with Hunt and Horse swapped in for Stef and Bateman.

Seyfarth could be a smokey for a 2nd row slot, he's a limited footballer but i've been impressed with his back half of the season. Remember against Manly when Latu gave him a no looker and put him through untouched ala prime Gaz Ellis :ROFLMAO:
In all seriousness though if we bring in Horsbourogh i wouldn't mind a decent 2nd rower to replace ice and most likely Bateman. He ain't comin back I don't think.

Would rather hunt come of the bench after 20 minutes when the opposition forwards are starting to get tired , then take it from there how long he plays in the 2 nd half

I like the 1st 20 min. And the 1st 20 min. of second half. Why you ask?
1. He can belt the opposition into tiredness.
2. Hunt lacks lateral movement in defence and getting back to the defensive line which can be exploited by quick play the balls, dummy half runs in the back half of each half. 1st half our defenders are still reasonably fresh. The second half our bench defenders arrive to maintain the middle.
3. We can exploit the oppositions tiredness of getting belted; by our own dummy half runs, quick play the balls, while Hunt is at his freshest. Then bring on our better defenders to shut them out.
My thoughts anyway.

Interesting to see Hunt starting the game today.
He did his job in what was a fast, physical and error riddled start. Got through 20 minutes. It will be interesting to see when he comes back on. This is how I think we should use him
Is that a better use of him rather than impact against tiring defences?

Yea I'm not sure. Open to both scenarios. I think having a look at him playing 2 stints is worth trying, however you always have the bench option if that ends up being best

Probably depends on our recruitment for the 2025 season
If we aren't in the game after 20 minutes it won't matter who is coming off the bench
