What a great team Balmain had then. Plus two of the best goalkickers ever in the same team. Poor old Golden Boots retired that year and the Tigers won the comp the next year.
Keith Barnes was my favourite player back then followed by Dennis Tutty (I was 12) and I had a jersey with a number 1 on it.
Don’t have the jersey any more but I do have the tigers logo off it somewhere.

Official Player of the Match: (Retrospective Clive Churchill Medal) John Raper (St George Dragons).

When the Balmain Tigers made those Grand Finals in 1988 - '89 they produced these bumper stickers.
They were all based on quotes from the great Laurie Nichols.
