Soo will any form of rugby league be played there like seniors or junior league, it be a disgrace if soccer or AFL used it, I hope this oval is used like how Birchgrove is used and preserved.

Chamapion @Brookswest,
I'm told that soccer is regularly played at PP during the winter.
The primary football tenant of the ground is the local community club, Ashfield Pirates FC, which uses Pratten Park as one of its main venues for training and matches under the Football Canterbury Association.
Otherwise, during the summer months, the ground transitions completely back to its other historic purpose as a premium premier cricket venue for the Western Suburbs District Cricket Club.

sorry to pollute this thread ,but a pub test will prove time n again all R League lovers /Fans want an early game.
Don't see how they make money advertising "the game" when most are switched off
Surely sponsors are not that stupid, which its all about
Given that the AI gave us a consecutive 1st round BYE in a Row it would be unlikely that they'd be able to schedule a fair and equitable KOE pre-NRL draw.

I mean KOE had 4 BYES this year. Maybe that's the so-called problem that GF commentators were alluding to regarding the poor quality of KOE vs QLD Cup.

QLD Cup has 15 teams with 3 BYES; Played 20 games
NSW KOE has 14 teams with 4 BYES! Played 22 games

That is a weird combo:
QLD less games less downtime. Simmering along.
NSW more games more downtime. Hot and Cold.
