A big no for me X.
I want to see attrition back in the game, not more breaks that allow the rotation of giants to control things.
I'm with you - also it punishes teams that build momentum - teams under the pump know they can waste a bit of time and hang out until the next break and all momentum is lost.
I'm with both of you, and for the same reasons, we have enough massive forwards clogging up the field now and smashing the creativity out of the game .
Most people agree that we need more ways of reintroducing the fatigue factor for these big forwards, not giving them more breaks , Andrew Johns was dead right when he blamed the ridiculous number of interchanges that we now have , for the lack of good halfbacks /five eights coming into first grade.
I definetly agree about the breaks in momentum caused by two more breaks being a pain in the butt. Time wasting WILL be the next scourge in the game as teams run down time whenever they are in trouble late in all four quarters. If a side is good enough tokeep pressure for up to 20 minutes in a game then they deserve to get the rewards for that , not have to troop off the field and let the other side regroup.
we have too many breaks now, and there's much more pressing things to change ( such as too many people in tackles trying to hold players up instead of putting them on the ground, wrestling) etc.
And as for the league big bosses who say that we can't stop the wrestling, What a load of cr@p!!!!!!!
CALL HELD earlier ,and penalise anyone who holds up the play the ball, and keep doing that as long as it takes( not just the usual 4to 5 weeks)
When teams continually get penalised , the Coaches will soon stop it
This is Rugby League , not Gridiron,
It doesn't need massive changes . All it needs is for referees to start to referee to the existing rules ,and not their so called interpretations,
And especially stop them from "coaching "players on the field
