I'm a fan of Ava, but have been pretty disappointed in his efforts this year. He looked like he had better leg speed in the trial but since then…?

He did this before I reckon, plateaued out then improved.

Simply, for his size he needs to reach the next level asap. A quick look around other clubs and their young forwards have heaps of teeth-gritting attitude while big Ava looks like he's ready to give someone a hug.

But I'd keep him until we have a replacement, stocks are too thin!

Yes…A player can transfer mid season prior to June 30 even if the are contracted till end 2015.... if both parties agree,,,,,

This is still rumour though so lets see what happens...I find it odd they released a Media piece on Ava's 50th game just last week to move him on mid season then again this is WESTS Tigers we are talking about,,,,,

For next season ...well Ava is off contract so he is a free agent...

This I don't understand. He's a good depth prop who's had very limited opportunities this season.
We talk about signing a back rower, but move on one of our few props?
We can squeeze 7 back rowers into our reserve grade 17 and only 3 props?
Doesn't make much sense at all to me.

I think he is a decent player in the making.

Why bag him for not going to the next level yet, he is a prop and props take time. No one wants Moses, Brooks, Tedesco, Sue and Sironen gone and they are all in the same boat under the new coach and his rain man structures.

I for one hope he stays.

You don't have to Hobbo - I'll say it for you.

He is just as bad as Ayshford except you need two balls - one for him and one for the team.

Ava hasn't really played too many minutes this year. Hope we at least let him play out the rest of the year (with decent game time) before making a decision on re-signing him or not.

Then again, he may be looking elsewhere because he isn't getting much of a go.

I agree, and I am not that big a fan. Imagine Ava's size with Marty's aggression! We need players who can get over the advantage line and offload. Ava can get over the line, just not very often which is a shame.

Interesting that this rumor comes out after he only plays very minor minutes on the weekend in a game that we needed massive go forward.
