@adamtiger said:I got news today from a good source that we are seriously chasing barba and have a good chance at him, they are making room for izzy. This source was right about lote and ellis so i trust it..
If we get barba I think it's a great move, we look like a basket case on and off the field at the moment to the rugby league competiton and really we are a team with potential at the moment not a good consistent team… A marquee signing like this would put this club back on track

Its funny, you couldn't cop Lui either. And what one thing do Lui and Tedesco have in common? they both in the past have been in a positional duel with your golden boy. Its no surprise you talk/talked them down at every opportunity

No one wanted Carney
No one wanted Dugan
No one wanted Michael Gordon
No one wanted Gagai
No one wanted Willie Mason
Jeez, for all the crap our recruitment gets, some fans here aren't much better. I'm sick of being the good guys. Get some great talent out there.

@LaT said:Problem is every signing you make has real world effects on the club. Barba would be terrific sure, but do we need to spend a big part of our cap on a new fullback? Don't we have other areas to worry about first? And what about our future? Who will we lose? What positions are weakened?

Would prefer Izzy over Barba
I'm betting we won't sign either
@Milky said:If we sign Barba I am hoping he will play 5/8 and Brooks 1/2\. This will leave the backline how it is supposed to be, Teddy FB, Koro and Nofo wings.
@tigertye said:Everyone should remember how crap Barba used to be at fullback. He couldn't take a bomb, had terrible positioning. He had a breakout year last year and is only just finding that form now this season. I'm not doubting his talent, he's bloody good, but that form would have warranted a massive increase in his pay packet.
Now Tedesco is nowhere near as good as Barba right now but many good judges have rated him very highly and even compared him to a young Slater. I think this is a perfect example of when a club should stick solid with their youth. Remember too, Teddy hasn't even played with a full strength team yet. So I don't think we've seen even close to his best this year and the kid is already lightyears ahead of Moltzen and we've been putting up with him for years.

Do you EVER read comments before you go off on your half baked rants?
I'm sorry if , in my opinion , I think Barba is at present a far superior player.
I've , on more than one occassion , said I hope Tedesco gets his mojo going and shows us all what the talk is about.
He does show lots of potential.
He has shown great courage and is wonderful at looking to support other players.
He has also dropped a few sitters and missed a lot of tackles that have led to tries.
If you really think Tedesco has lived up to all the hype surrounding him then you're deluded.
As for your other ridiculous effort to bring Moltzen into the debate again…. wake up.
Lui's defence was not up to first grade standard (and still isn't) .
This thread is about the possibility of Barba being here - and ,although I seriously don't think it will happen , we would be crazy not to take him.
