Rumour, Comings and Goings 2009 / 2010 season...

peni said he supported the tigers as a young kid to. If I was an NRL play i would deffinetaly take less money to play for the team i supported.

Depends how much you support them though mate. Theres definetly alot of different types of supporters. You know those supporters who talk about the 1 game they went to 4 years ago, etc. If he was a guy watching every week, whether it be hanging on the radio listening to scores, watchingo n 9 or fox or at the game then yeah… but everyones gotta support someone.

Simmonds also distanced the club from speculation axed Cronulla halfback Brett Seymour would be handed a lifeline by the Tigers.

"Probably at this stage it is not something we will pursue. We have a young lad in our `20s called Robert Lui who we think has a big future," he said.

"I wouldn't be surprised to see him go around in first grade before the end of the season and at this stage we see that as the future."

Can't see us wanting to buy Finch either.

Last night on channel ten they interviewed Moltzon about his match up with Thurston, after the story the sports reader(forgot his name) also mentioned that we would throw Seymour a lifeline.
At the right price it could be a great signing

nigel plum canberra dude!! between us and roosters' its in the league week

Plum goes alright. Good lock forward. But doesn't really offer anything more than Galea. Has an absolute blinder every couple of months but other than that is pretty quiet for most of the season.

If we sign Nigel Plum, Tim Sheens should be sacked immediately, oh thats right, he should have been sacked 2 years ago.

To be fair, Plum is an upgrade over Payne & has more potential than Galea.

He runs reasonably hard, doesn't stand out as a particularly poor player in any regard. I'm not against the signing if it happens.

Certainly more in favour of Plum than say, Fitzhenry.

Don't need a back rower. We've already got decent ones coming out of our ears.

Ellis, Heighno, Mataka, Dwyer, Akeripa etc etc.

Don't REALLY need wingers either, but yet Toupo & Daniela are in for next year…

I think we will see Ayshford shifted to the dreaded utility tag to accomodate backline purchases

smeg did ayshford play lock in U 20s? if he bulks up and puts on about 6-10 KGs he can be a force in the back row imo

He did.

With the impending return of Fulton I would imagine that role is going to be filled by him.

That and we don't use our lock as a ball playing option and have not for many season.

I hope I am wrong but I just can't see where our structures are aiming next season

I don't know much about our lower grade wingers. I know everyone complains about Ryan (probably a little too much), so I would have thought a winger signing would be welcome. We are losing Collis and Tagive, so Daniela sounds like a reasonable purchase too. So what really is the issue? Who is the outstanding young winger to be promoted instead?

I was thinking last night i'd be quite happy to see these new faces in 2010:

- Finch (some saying it's a done deal?)
- Inu
- Ross (at the right price)
- Tupou
- Taumata

Fills in lots of gaps.

1\. Krisnan Inu
2\. Taniela Tuiaki
3\. Blake Ayshford
4\. Chris Lawrence
\
\
5\. Tame Tupou

6\. Benji Marshall
7\. Brett Finch

8\. Ben Ross
9\. Robbie Farah
10\. Keith Galloway
11\. Chris Heighington
12\. Gareth Ellis
13\. Liam Fulton

14\. Arana Taumata
15\. Daine Laurie
16\. Bryce Gibbs
17\. Todd Payten

Works for me…

apart from fulton good team.

Fulton is as good as any of that team.

Ayshford said on WTV that over the next couple of seasons he's gonna bulk up and maybe be shifted to lock, the position the club purchased him as.

For the moment however, he's got the perfect frame for a centre.
