I truly believe the players have had enough of JT despite them coming out in the media saying

" we are buying into Taylor's methods" :blah :blah :blah :blah

Yep, you would know better than the players. Good one.

Gee i didn't know we had to run it past you to have an opinion or how we might feel about a certain situation :unamused:

Not sure how you can have an opinion without knowing the facts about this issue. If the players or the coach came out and said that is what is happening, then go right ahead. But just to dump on someone without any evidence is just childish.

So you reckon the whole 25 Contracted players in our Club have bought into what Taylor is trying to achieve ? Rubbish .
It's not as if the players are going to come out in the media and say " there is a lot of us that don't agree with what Taylor is trying to implement here " .
You look after your form of Employment and if the media ask you a question like " Is JT coaching methods working " ? what are you publicly going to say ? Of course your going to hear the things we have heard …....." Yeah we are buying into what JT has brought on board but it's going to take time".

But FT - when was the last time we heard the players say that?? Things have gone very quiet on that front…

Their probably on a gag order from management !

Just read Dene's quote in the article on him being Captain this week - and he does indeed say he believes in what Taylor is doing… and TT mentions Keith said something similar. I probably shouldn't make comment after being out of the loop for a while!

But even so, I'm not hearing the same sort of player support as we were earlier in the season.

barra fans have had enough mate . If fans could see even small consistently steps to improving how we are playing then fans would be more patient then what they are .
Even the commentators are having a laugh at us " some bad signs for the Tigers there " is what you hear from Joey Johns .

However you support the Club being Season Ticket Holder to buying Merchandise every year or going to the odd game when you can , you have a right to see improvements in your side .
So many fans give up there valuable Family time to see what ? the garbage we have been dished up .

I'm glad i'm a passionate supporter to another code and team cause i tell you what the Off Season has started and it is going to be a Damn long one.

Didn't Manly just empty their warchest re-signing DCE and making attempts to retain Foran?

They have lost Foran by the looks …Have signed Myles Brown Koroisau and upgraded a few of there youngsters....on top of DCE...

Ava is off contract and I have heard rumours of him going to Manly. I assume that's who he's talking about?

Much as I don't really want him to go, I'd prefer it to be him rather than some others( if it was to happen)
I hope your right

TT mentioned "further savings at the end of the year". The two that the Club has offered are Galloway and Lawrence. I am unsure of the Manly rumour but if the Club is confident of further savings it would be from player(s) under contract for 2016 not out of contract.

I agree FT and like most fans, I just want to see our blokes have a decent go and show the fans that they care too.

I was absolutely disgusted in a couple of the late season efforts last year when it was clear they didn't give a rat's except for a couple like Austin. They very nearly lost me for good then.

I'll be cranky as all hell if Ava was to leave

He turns the corner defensively and motor /work ethic wise and then someone pinches him

Me too. It'll prove we really have no idea.

I would be very disappointed if Lawrence were to be shipped off now that he seems to be 'smoking' it in the second row. He is our hardest hitter in defence and is starting to run some really good lines. He is our best second rower for sure and likely to get a lot better.

Came very close to walking away too.

Im in no better position this year just more aware of not being able to walk away.

The issue remains that, if the players have bought into the Taylor agenda, why are they so freakin appalling at implementing it?

To me, it's not the players, it's the agenda! Get rid of the agenda setter! He's rubbish.

Yep, losing a good up and comer (Ava) and hanging onto a someone nearing retirement (Keithy) would be complete madness, but this is the Wests Tigers

The counter to that is as supposed professionals, why can they not pull off what is the most simplified mind numbing style of football with any level of competency. They are paid to do their job. Evidently they are unable to do so proficiently.

Im not blind enough to think Taylor is faultless in the whole scheme of things, but I disagree with faulting him for the poor player execution. The players arent being asked to play complex football, quite the opposite.

This forum seems to have a culture of of making excuses for the players. I dont think we lost a game this year where the football on the park was an honest representation of what Taylor has asked of them.

Yet under Potter the players were able to step out on the field and deliver an honest representation of what he had asked them. Playing a game more simplified and direct to what Sheens had brought to the club they lisgtented to their coach and muscled up executed against some of the best teams in the comp,

Yes both season were inconsistent and didnt last but the players did got on board.

Taylor and this group of players have been like oil and water.

You may not be blind but you have very Black and White motives.

I defended Potter too, didnt want him to go either… There is a toxic, yet all too often accepted concept that a player has to agree with the role he is asked to play, or even like the coach, to be able to play at a professional level and implement what is asked of them.

Blaming the coach is easy.

No-one on this forum will say Taylor is asking too much of them. The consistant gripe is that he isnt asking much of them at all. I just find it had to fathom that when being asked to be able to compete in a very basic way, yet failing miserably more often than not to pull it off that its the coaches fault. As fans, we should expect the players to be able to perform the most basic functions of the game with consistency and at a high level. Unfortunately we cannot.
