I'm hearing Folkes will be appointed coach. He is yet to be mentioned in the media but I hear that he is the preferred choice due to his knowledge of the club, his relationship with the senior players, his experience and more importantly his price which will be considerably less than what sheens was on.

Not sure re: Folkes. It seems all the older Coaches (Bennett,Smith and Sheens) all struggled this year. Is it safer to go with a younger applicant like Brown,Walters or Anderson?

wow, didnt think folkes would be it but if it is i'd be quite happy with that, especially with the other names being bandied about.

fantastic IF true.
He won;t take any rubbish from the players. Nor will he take any from sheens if he is still around.

In what circles did you hear this, if you don't mind me asking. Sounds good though.

I would love this! I didn't think he would be keen to return after leaving for the dragons. Not sure why people think he would cost less than Sheens though? His record speaks for itself.

He may be enticed on a lesser contract for next year, but upgraded for 2014 and 15\. If so, lucky we didn't get Willie!

Ditto all of the above. He's been my first choice for a couple of years, but I can't imagine this is true. Surely the media would've caught wind of this if we were considering Folkes, yet he is not even mentioned.

I really doubt Folkes, or any experienced coach for that matter would take on the job if Sheens was going to be around looking over his shoulder. Sheens won't stay anyway

Outside chance is what I'm hearing. Sheens new deal was the reason folkes moved on. Big bridge to mend

And sheens won't be looking over anyone's shoulder. His position he's been offered has nothing to do with senior football operations
