Russell Packer

Good result in the context.

I know Packer is a great leader however Im still really confident in our forward pack.

Good to hear could have been a lot worse.

It's good to have our depth signings getting game time in first grade should they be called upon later on in the year.

actually a great result, i got the feeling from ivans reaction in the presentation they feared the worst. plus it gives someone else a chance to show what theyve got

Packer showed what he was made of by staying on the field for the last 5 after the injury. He will be missed but lucky it’s only 4 weeks. Someone has a huge chance coming their way

Really happy it's not serious after a tough 5 weeks this will freshen him up now and it gives Grant and Sue a chance of feeling part of the team for inclusiveness.
No doubt they will step up. Everyone wants to be part of a semi final bound team.

I'll wait for confirmation from the club. He's only getting scans today. 4 weeks would be manageable. He's a loss, but we have a lot of forward depth, and may not even need to callup a prop from ISP, but we have 3 capable replacements itching for a callup too so it's good for them to get some gametime to feel part of the club.

Bad news but an exciting opportunity to see who steps up, I'm confident someone will.

Huth into front row
ET to lock

Bench of:
Twal
Aloiai
Reynolds
MCK

Agree with this although id also like to see

Twal to front row
Et to lock
Huth of the bench

Twal has been oir best meter per run guy

Either option is good, although I hope to see jj or Jesse if there are any issues with ET or Reynolds

I don't think we'll see Russell for 6 weeks..

Luckily our Prop stocks are strong…we will miss his aggression but gives another an opportunity to fill the breach..

Shame about the injury, thankfully we have solid depth at prop. Sue might return to the 17.

I agree also have to look at the matchup. Huth is long and not strong in the upper body will struggle with Tapau &Fonua—Blake Twal gets the start for me.

That news definitely could have been a lot worse. Ivan will need to consider whether to play Aloiai up front and promote either Sue or Grant to the bench. I would probably prefer to see Sue come off the bench as he has more of an offload in his game than Grant, and Aloiai deserves a start.
