I wouldnt sack him eitherway _. I just dont see the sence in people justifying keeping someone based on it being to expensive to pay them out. How expensive is it to keep them?!_

_Yep, sometimes you just have to cut your losses and head in a different direction, as it makes no economic sense to jeapordise other areas of the business as well.\

Having said that, and despite writing my concerns about Taylor on here for a couple of months, I don't want his head immediately, however, WT should be making alternate plans and interviewing in case things don't improve or worsen._

Bellamy would be a million dollar coach but what price do you put on success.

Well I to have given Taylor's structure a caining over the weeks,but then again we haven't got Roy Asotasi in our team ,we have some very ordinary players and some absolute talent in our team,we need Taylor to bring the best out of all of them to be a competitive unit…that is his job full stop...if he can't get them to work well together then he may as well move on..just my thoughts,coaching is just that work on your strength and sharpen the weakness,it can't be that hard if you are an NRL coach,that's what you work toward and end up with the big dollars ...for your expertise,otherwise don't put your hand up and give people a false sense of achievement in the coming seasons....if you employ a top notch lawyer to get you off a minor conviction and you pay him big dollars,but you end up in the klink,you certainly would be asking the big questions I would assume.. 😱pen_mouth:

The Board appointed Taylor so I would like to know how they are interacting with Taylor in regard to our declining form and results. If the NRL have put the breaks on the clubs recruitment through the Board which I believe they control, to the point where we are heavily disadvantaged recruitment wise as compared to clubs that don't have the NRL s close scrutiny of the salary cap because they are not represented on other clubs' boards then the NRL needs to consider the effect this is having on the club and its supporters/members. There has been much written about how poor our previous administrations have been in relation to cap management and this is probably a main factor why we shed so many experienced players at the end of last year, I assume it was one of the NRLs strategies to get Wests Tigers back on track financially and cap wise (through the Board) however the net effect looks to be a wooden spoon or close to,with no chance of improvement in sight given no recruitment for next year. How does the NRL expect the club to survive through this or is that part of their motivation?

Its a very good point you raised. You can't inject yourself in a board when things are going pear-shaped to get a little stability, and then have them sit serendipitous and watch the last 15 weeks unfold. For mind, it means they are either privy to something we aren't, or the end justifies the means.

The trouble is the board being an independent NRL elected board havent got a clue. They have no football background whatsoever.

The bottom line is the current squad is not of First Grade quality. The mix of youth and experience is off. Unfortunately we don't have the resources to do much about that. The reality is we have to continue to develop the young players with the current coach.

_The club can use the NRL Grant any way they feel suitable… Yes we did learn from Sheens. We dragged out the legal bs to get him to accept a reduced payout!_

All the more reason for a rationale, non-emotional based decision for what is best for the club and the bottom line. Like the new CEO; doesn't need to know the game inside and out, every rule and every player's junior club; just need to know enough about what drives growth, gets them out of trouble and keeps the money flowing in so we don't end up in the same place we are at the moment.

I wonder if Farah has any inclination to coach. Could we do worse than have him as captain coach so as to enable a transition of Cherrington? Farah's form is on the slide, maybe less minutes could work for his overall game, a coaching gig would keep his ego intact and he's still top of the tree with his beloved club. The years done, with no signings for next year we'll be at the bottom again or there abouts, but at least the team would be stable for a year without excuses such as the coach losing the dressing room.
