Sack Sheens Thread

At this point in time, I'd be desperate enough to consider Tommy R.

Was far from a good coach, but wouldn't be afraid to tell the underperformers to pull their heads in and have a go!

You wouldn't rely on Tommy for game plans but the team could use someone like him to show them what aggression is all about. Its really not that far fetched to get him in there and get them aggro, they need it badly

Tommy will admit he wasn't a great coach, but his teams always tried, they just lacked class players, and he never shuffled so many players out of position like Sheens does,no other coach I have seen does either.

Another frustrating year with Tim Sheens and there is no end in sight… Probably going to take a breather from watching this team run around until the board gets some balls and gives someone else a go... Such a joke that they keep letting this bloke run the show... Surely anyone else is a better option, look at the players we have...

You'd think so given his record, but in some people's eyes the only man capable of getting better results is Bellamy. If thats not over-rating Sheens ability, i don't know what is

**I think the issue was more that for 2010-2011 we probably had the best overall record in the NRL so people were prepared to give him some credit for that and give him a chance to deliver. 2012 was that chance and things have gone backward. I don't think it makes Sheens a bad coach but I think there comes a time when a team stops performing for you or your style no longer works. For Sheens that time has come.**

But last year it was Bellamy or Bennett….no one else worthy of replacing Lord Sheens.

Bennett has an average season, hes no longer flavour of the month, but Sheens is still way up on his pedestal, with only one man worthy to replace him....according to some.

Some people are blind

Well I'm not one of those people and never was. Having said that, it would be wise to work out who is going to coach the team post-Sheens before you boot him. Unless things really tank in the early stages of 2013 the most likely scenario would be for 2013 to be Sheens final year and 2014 for a new coach. I'd just basing this on it being September now and I don't see the board changing things this close to the new season.

i remember when warren ryan left balmain.
he said he had squeezed the orange dry,and there was nothing left.

sheens just needs to admit the same thing and move on.

As much as he's past it, he won't be going anywhere . Looks like we have to soke it up for next year..
Feel like this is gonna be a long summer.

No….you make a decision, no point umming and ahhing....you dont hire then fire, its the other way round

Hasnt bothered the warriors or Roosters.

But we know youre right, the board wont do a thing, regardless of where in the season we are.
He going nowhere....same as the team.

That's cool Ink I wasn't suggesting you were accusing me of anything, just stating my view on things. I'm not suggesting they hire anyone before punting Sheens but you'd hope they at least had some shortlisted candidates to speak to should that happen. In any case at least we're a more desirable destination than when Coach Sheens arrived pretty much by default because the first two choices said no.

Geez I'd laugh if the Tigers appoint Brian Smith as our Head Coach… :roll

At least we could bank 4 points for the year when we played the Sheens-coached Warriors.

The latest doing the rounds is that sheens is gone and Michael hagan is coming. Might be a good thing
