how is it a fair merger when the majority of games are played closer to one half of the mergers fan base than the other?

Well put Knuckles both the Magpies and Balmain live on in the Wests Tigers after all, without the tiger and the magpie in the first place, there wouldn't be a Wests Tigers. I also agree that Wests Tigers could spend a bit more time in the Macarthur area to keep reinforcing their presence to the community and the kids playing junior league. Pushing the WTs presence may also need to be pushed in the Balmain area, I don't know not living there but I can speak for Macarthur and I haven't seen a lot of publicity for things the club does in the area.

I lived in Leichhardt for a while and recall stuff all being done. I don't even remember them having a presence at the Leichhardt Street Fair but I may be mistaken.
Anyway my point is (to reinforce your comments) more can always be done to promote the club in all the areas it considers its territories.

Not any kind of stumbling block moving forward really though it will be interesting if Western Suburbs football club agree to this or allow Balmain to nominate WT and than spend the next 3 years whining about how nothing is fair
The future of the West Tigers is at Campbelltown. There are hundreds of teenagers (especially Pacific Islander kids) who reside in the Campbelltown region. These young people should be aiming to play for a team the represents the south west and that team should be the tigers. Keep the name, keep the jersey but fully represent the Macarthur region by being based at the Campbelltown Stadium, then kids will aspire to play and fans who have relocated to the myriad of housing developments in the area will embrace the team as their own.
This seems so simple to me and i do not know why the NRL is not enforcing a more permanent move for the Tigers to Campbelltown. Securing the South West of Sydney should be the priority for the NRL and also for the Tigers to secure the juniors in the area.

I grew up out at Camden, played junior footy for the Camden Rams, went to High School at Campbelltown and had the benefit of growing up in an area that had a full time 1st Grade Rugby League team.
I understand why the joint venture happened. Though terrible news, I understood why it was completely necessary.
What saddens me now is the total decay in Rugby League out in the area I grew up.
- We now only get 4 NRL games a year… the district suffers
- The Wests group is fractured.... the Wests side suffers
- Junior League is a shambles... local players suffer
- The area loses its last senior rep side... opportunities suffer
- politics, backroom deals, under the table deals, back stabbing, short sightedness... everyone suffers

None of us here are on any Wests board and I seriously doubt whether any Rugby League figures or members of power will be taking any notice of this thread.
I understand venting on here may make people feel better, but really, given the issues raised by you galahs, venting on here won't achieve anything. You have managed to gather some media attention via newspapers and radio. Maybe you should be focusing more on what you plan to say and do at the Wests rally and organising speakers for the rally rather than crying over spilt milk here.
If you want to be noticed and make a positive difference, then lead by example.

The match split is 4 games Wests, 4 games Balmain, 4 games commercial. Any claim to contrary is disingenuous at best. If Campbelltown or some ground closer to Macarthur has the cash to fund these games you might have a point. To claim these are "inner city" games is misleading. The SFS offers capacity (so fans aren't turned away), access to fans throughout Sydney, state of the art facilities, and the chance to play at one of the country's best stadiums. I have no problem with increasing the size of the magpie if it makes a difference. None of you guys seemed to bother with steve-o's objection that the Balmain name was being lost at senior level. But if having a large magpie on the sleeve is a priority I really don't care.
The jumper thing has been done to death. Personally I have no objection to jumpers that feature a lot of black although as I recall the complaint before was there wasn't enough white. Now it's mostly white and their are still complaints. Seems the only complaint is too much orange…
You know full well why "Magpies" (who are mostly WT signed players) have to turn out for Balmain. There are close to 50 pages of discussion across various threads on the matter...
I don't see that WT are dictating anything. These are decision made with the approval of close to all the board including a majority of Wests Magpies directors. The blame lies in the decision making on the Magpies side.
But this has zero (or very close to it) to do with the juniors. 14 year old kids want to play for Wests Tigers not Western Suburbs Magpies. So the size of the magpie is not an issue to them nor is the lack of a State Cup team, nor the jumper design. Maybe the game allocation is an issue to them, to be honest I don't know if increasing the allocation from 4 to 6 would be a factor.

All I was demonstrating is the multiple reasons why people from Wests feel disenchanted over the Joint Venture.

WT jersey designs and location of the magpie is not mentioned in your OP, and you mention nothing about the plight of the juniors in the Macarthur first post. It's quite obvious that the region doesn't want to lose their identity as the Magpies, but as per your OP, that's not the root cause of this rally.
Make up your mind on what you want, and clearly dictate what your demands are because it's quite obvious there are other motives at hand for this rally other than what you originally stated. The cynicism you're receiving here is due to the fact that you're not being forthright. Enough of the smoke & mirrors...
