I was trying to state, It doesn't matter which group is funded, as the money funnels down to each of these groups. The money is going towards the same agenda, removing the Assad regime. That is what Saudi & US & those rebel groups all want.

Time to rename this thread, as I too am guilty of posting off subject, but hey, had a few laughs when reading through the last couple of pages this morning.
Being from the "bogan generation" with fifty fast approaching and having a broad sense of humour, I find it amusing that fellow bogans are having a dig at the "Google" or Internet generation, whilst typing on here and particularly when providing links/references to promote an argument.

Whether they want it to escalate to the heights that it does is another story but there is no denying that they are responsible for the emergence of ISIS and the consequences since. Any other argument in relation to this is void IMO as without their foreign policy their would be no ISIS, Al-Qaeda and the like.
Iran is Shia whilst Saudia Arabia is Sunni. That is why they both hate each other and would love nothing more then to annihilate one another.
America is a close ally of Saudi Arabia and both strongly oppose Iran.
These terrorist organisations such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda are extreme interpreters of the Quran under a Sunni denomination which is called Wahhabism. This Wahhabism originates from Saudi Arabia.
Saudia Arabia funds ISIS as do other Sunni countries such as Turkey, Yemen, Pakistan. America is an ally of Saudi Arabia, so as far as I'm concerned they're not innocent either, because surely they would have the intel to know that one of their allIES is supporting terrorist groups. But of course, they turn a blind eye when it is one of their own.
The funny thing was when the former King of Saudi Arabia died recently, Obama attended the funeral of the very man who funded the terrorists which ultimately contributed to 9/11\. What a world we live in.
Does anyone truly believe that the mighty USA couldn't destroy a small terrorist group that is confined in specific areas within a week if it truly wanted to ? You have American congressmen and officials telling there people that it could take 30 years to rid the world of ISIS. How naive do you have to be to not understand that there is something more going on behind the scenes. I don't know what it is exactly but the USA does not want to eliminate ISIS.
I love America, it is a beautiful country one that i have visited often and one that i will definitely visit again many times. It has given us so many luxuries but I am very very skeptical of their foreign policy. They manipulate a lot of things to benefit themselves no matter how much carnage or damage it does to other counties or regions.
So don't give me this crap about America saving the world and being all innocent because without their foreign policy the world would be a lot better then it is today.

In fact we have some "arabic" channels at home and I rarely ever see America mentioned in a bad light. All I see is how nations are forced to rely on America and its allies foreign policy for their own stability.

AND it is a known fact that these minorities were treated alot better with Suddam there. Believe me, I have family and friends who come from these minorities so I'm pretty sure I'm better qualified to answer this question.
They weren't treated perfeclty but much much better. They had access to schools, universities and hospitals and at the very least they weren't singled out, made to pay taxes for not being Muslim, driven out of their homes, burnt alive, raped and decapitated.
