Raiders, Tigers semi-final sold out
September 14, 2010 - 6:44PM

AAP

Friday night's NRL semi-final between Canberra and Wests Tigers is officially a sellout with the last of the tickets snapped up on Tuesday afternoon.

Just a day after tickets went on sale the last 2000 standing room tickets were sold as Raiders fever continued to grip the nation's capital.

A crowd of 27,500 is expected to flock to Canberra Stadium, the gathering to break the ground record for an NRL match of 25,253 set back in 1994 for what was former Canberra great Mal Meninga's last home game.

The NRL has reserved 50 tickets for the game which will be available for Raiders and Tigers fans who purchase club memberships for 2011.

It was also announced that the first allocation of tickets to the NRL grand final have sold out with approximately 14,000 to be made available on the Monday of grand final week to members from the two teams competing in the decider.
