Who would you do your best to keep?

It is very Unlikely that we will keep all 4 of these guys so who is the priority? Imo I would have Gavet as the Priority then Seumanufagai then Akauola then Thompson.

Thoughts?

I'd be doing my best to keep all 4 of them!…if I had to chose in order of retention:

1.Gavet
2.Ava
3.Akauola(should be fairly cheap)
4.Thompson

1\. Gavet
2\. Thomson
3\. Akoula
4\. Ava

I dont see what you guys see in Ava, I believe Sue would do a better job.

I hope we can sign all four, 1\. Gavet, 2\. Ava, 3.Thompson, 4\. Akoula. Big improver this Year has been Thompson.

I would like to keep all four but that is unlikely

1\. Ava
2\. Gavet
3\. Akoula
4\. Thompson

really hard to decide after Ava to be honest. I think he has to be the priority.

if we can convince them to take less money next year but more in 2016 onwards we could keep em all.

we can offload anasta, moltzen, blair and lawrence to free up a LOT of cap space.

WHY DO WE HAVE TO LOSE ANY ONE , ALL WE NEED TO DO IS THE SAME AS THE RABBITS AND THE DOGS AND THE BRONCOS AND THE ROOSTERS DO, LIE ON THE BALANCE SHEET.

I think we'll see some announcements on these guys once Teddy and Sirro are sorted out. Rumours at the moment suggest BMM will be moving elsewhere, same goes for Koroibete and Anasta will hang the boots up at season's end, plus Paterson was a 12 month deal, so there's some money left over to retain these guys. Not sure what we paid for them, but all are deserving of increases at this stage, with Gavet and Thompson likely to earn the most IMO.

Except the Rabbits lost 3 internationals last year and signed Joel Reddy and Lote . They loose Sam Burgess who is almost the best player in the game and replace him with a struggling prop from Penrith and an aging injury prone Glenn Stewart. Broncos roster is weaker then ours, Roosters will loose SBW and not sign anywhere near a replacement.

Back on topic
1\. Gavet
2\. Akoula - Cheap with plenty of potential
3\. Thompson - Almost 2nd but am really hoping he stays but given at full strength he is a bench backrower
4\. Ava - 5th best prop at the club behind Woods, Galloway, Taupau, Gavet and we also have Buchannan, Brown and Fiagusta signed for the next few years

100% agree.
Said it before, not sold on Ava yet.

A lot of talk on here about people rating him, but the others are a lot more of standouts for mine.

Throw some money at Gavet, sign Sita on the cheapish would be the plan. Gavet gets through a mountain of work. Thompson has great utility value but I'd say he and Ava might get squeezed out. Can see Ava getting a slightly overpriced deal from a rival club. He's a good up and coming player but the media overrate him, and I think rivals will too when it comes to signing him.

From SMH:

The Tigers could have more money to spend with forward Ben Murdoch-Masila likely to be granted a release. The Panthers are one of his suitors and a deal could be struck before the June 30 transfer deadline.

If we are doing this , we are trying to making room for a 2014 signing

Or and I'm not even sure of the question I'm about to ask

Are we able to increase a 2014 players contract to make up for future contracts by paying slightly unders but upgrading this season ??
