OFFICIAL SG Ball Cup

Yeah, but I mean each team only needs to show half the promise to translate into promise for the NRL team.

If both are up in the Top 8, then surely good signs.
Teams wise panthers would have more junior clubs than both wests/tigers catchment I would think! Not much else to do out at Penrith!

4 - 1 now. Reality is that SG Ball are more talented than most teams at this point of the season. HM are young and too small up front.
If you go on u tube put in westsagpies or balmain tigers you'll get most of the game s g ball or h matts.I just the s g ball wests v Canberra last week .I don't know if you'll get the same coverage every week.

I saw SG life Was late for the first half but arrived when Penrith were parked on our line, a forced drop out and knock on got us back in the game but then the Panthers crossed twice with continued pressure. I didn’t know the score at this point and suspected the Panthers were winning well, there was a lack of talk from the players behind the goals and I thought oh boy there’s a long way to go for these boys. By halftime I caught up on the score and was shocked to see we were in the lead until around 10mins into the second half. It certainly looked like Penrith had all the momentum. The game was played mostly in Wests half, Miller was great but the 10 in the bin for him and Penriths big bopped certainly favoured us as we seemed to play better with the space. Then Penrith get another opportunity after a late shot from Faagatu gets him in the bin in the final 10 of the match (full contact but seconds into the realm of being a late hit).
Miller came back from the Sin Bin and made a huge impact towards the end and the boys dug hard to get down field to get over the line in the final 5mins of the game. Da Silva was probably best on ground though special mentions to Mason and Craig with a very important break late in the game.
Their 9 was also class and their 7 was at us all game.
The fella mentioned above that ended up with the shoulder injury (ended up getting sandwiched between Lauliii and Da Silva) was killing us with his speed around the ruck so definitely was a game changer and swung momentum back in Wests favour.
Great match to watch!

I agree.
The rest of our highly fancied juniors don’t excite me much currently, but this guy is a legit 10+ year NRL player in the making.
Simpkin was a stand out in under 18s as well , had similar stats to DaSilva , as was Jacob Liddle , its a big step up to Nrl from 18s so I wouldnt be getting too excited yet

This is a good point. The step up is massive isn't it.
