OFFICIAL SG Ball Cup

Did someone mention last week that Luani Tuifua is Mavoni's brother who was one of our best in Jersey Flegg a few seasons ago before off-field stuff curtailed his progress?
I watched that game at Corrimal with Mavoni playing. He was good for a couple of very strong runs but ran out of fitness and left gaps in the middle in defence. Young Fonua Pole came on and it was clear from his first touch he was NRL bound. Being big is not enough, you need that drive and dedication Pole has to suceed.

Which reminds me.
What has happened to Jordan Miller?
Is he with another club or retired?

My Round 2 points for POY. Winning team players from 7 points down to 1. Losing team players 5 to 1 although I found it hard to find 5 players from the Magpies to give points this week.

Balmain
7 Brookes (now on 13) - wow
6 De Vries - linespeed, effort, backing up, defies his size
5 Haywood (8)
4 Meslemani
3 Moughan
2 Cooper Young
1 Bunt (3)

Wests
5 Godinet (6)
4 Laupepa
3 Dupond
2 Tuifua - the only middle who packed a punch against the big Doggies pack
1 Makasini - quality not quantity

I didn't get a 2nd watch of the Magpies game as Bar TV took this game down. Must have been due to the Peter Ta'ai incident. Anyone heard how he is doing? @jrtiger have you heard through your Magpies contacts mate?

Big match for Wests this Saturday against the undefeated Rabbitohs!
Brilliant work BWG. I think Brookes is NRL for sure.

there's a player that has not performed to expectation whatsoever. I was very bullish on Taupau-Moors going into this year, but he's been anonymous. I really hope he stands up.
Has today signed a contract with the WT, probably a progressive one like Dev for 2 seasons into top 30 year after. Will post the Insta announcement from his management.

I was of the same opinion as jrtiger. High hopes from last year but MIA so far this year.
Fingers crossed he had other things on his mind?

I don’t think he’s played badly over the first 2 rounds, just hasn’t stood out like most of us expected him to.
Playing u/19’s is easier said than done for a youngster who I don’t even think has turned 18 yet.
He seems destined to have the body shape we are looking for in an NRL prop and seems to keep himself in good condition, so plenty of good signs moving forward.

this is probably the best way to sum it up. he hasn’t performed to expectation, but as you and BB said previously he’s still quite young with plenty of growing to do.

Yet plenty on here want him in the NRL this year...
