Shannon Gallant

Thought there was already a topic about Gallant.

One thing is for sure. It belongs in the NRL section not this one

Been the best player on the park so far. Great kick returns and involved in 2/3 of the Cowboys first half tries.

Still hasn't out performed Ryans effort of last week though in metres

Bug

Better than Thurston or Tonga? Yeh right. Shannon has a good game but settle down.

Gallant signed with the Cows before we signed Daniella or Brown so I cant see how you can say Sheens chose them over him. But dont let facts get in the way of a Sheens bagging, as always you never do.

brilliant in attack … below average in defence... i hope they play him next week ...just run big keefy and co right over the top of him ......

Very good game in attack (plucking that chip out of the air from Zillman was great to watch) but terrible as a last line of defence.
the titans had very little in attack & the only 2 times he had to make a tackle he just hung an arm out and didn;t even slow them down.
also if thurston hadn;t made that ankle tap Gallant wouldn;t have gotten near the (edit) Titans player because he was far too far infield.

If letting him go enabled us to get Lote, then Sheens got it 100% right.

Or maybe for his price we couldve just not signed any ONE of Fitzhenry, Daniela or Brown..
Gallant picked up a Dally M point tonight by the way.

If anyone watched him for Wests last year you would not be bagging his defence.

Played great tonight, and will carve us up next week if our defence is off. Not sure how much first grade he would have played with us though.

Unfortunately Wests didn;t play in Cooma or Canberra too often over the last few seasons :frowning:
No question on his attack though. It's 1st class!
I think it's pretty definite he wouldn;t have gotten much of a run in 1sts if he'd stayed here. Wether that's right or wrong we'll never know.

I judge defence on first grade - on that test Gallant has always been shaky. I am not sure that he is versatile enough for me in attack either but he has certainly got some acceleration.
