Never understood why people won’t give Madge and the coaching staff credit for getting Luciano fit. He’s clearly lost weight, improved his diet and fixed his defence since being at Tigers and he’s said as much in interviews. He’s a completely different player

I agree but to many here he was already doing that at the Dragons last season which I do not agree with .
He looks and plays totally different this season to the extent the Dragons would not of let him go .

I’d probably go to work shirtless everyday if I looked like that.

He's obviously in good nick but I'd look ace too if I was literally paid to work out. Not impressed by a ripped professional athlete. In fact I'm more impressed by the guys like George Rose and Piggy Riddell who can train at elite level and still be chubby.

But I'm paid to sit at a computer, hence why I get a little bit fatter every season.

Who do you think would be the worst rig to play in the modern NRL? Mark Riddell is a good start, Tui Lolohea would be pretty high on the list.

Cameron Smith

Surely you jest.

No, he's very unathletic for an elite footballer. Good luck to him, doesn't change his standing in the game.

A picture can be misleading.
You don’t need bludging muscles to be strong.
I would say for certain that of all players he would have the strongest core muscles.

He might not have your typical elite athletic build, but he definitely wins the hairiest.??

I hope I am right but I was really impressed with Blore's restraint / calmness in his first game. Most guys would of taken the bait from Brown and did something silly but he remained calm.. its like he understand that its not about him its about the team and stupid things cost your team in this game. Very excited for his next game.

He could barely make a tackle at dragons. The way he sprinted across field to stop Oates from scoring against broncos was fantastic and something he never ever did before coming to Tigers

Yep he seems to be a humble, hard-working type. He even mentioned feeling honoured that Brown (a known enforcer in the game) targeted him in particular. The fact that Blore approached Brown after the game to shake hands (& not the other way around) shows a strong, mature character.

Yep early days, but its no wonder he is having this impact on the forum. Hope he continues to progress.

BLOCKER’S INFLUENCE ON EELS vs TIGERS FLASHPOINT

Nathan Brown and Shawn Blore went AT it last weekend.

The flashpoint moment between Eels enforcer Nathan Brown and NRL rookie Shawn Blore had the fingerprints of Balmain Tigers legends Steve “Blocker” Roach and Paul Sironen all over it.

How so? Tigers coach Michael Maguire asked Blocker and Sirro to record a video message for Blore in the lead-up to making his NRL debut.

Blocker loves to tell the story about how in the Leichhardt Oval dressing rooms in the 1980s champion coach Warren Ryan would yell “somebody dial Triple 0, because they’re going to need an ambulance today”.

No wonder Blore’s eyes lit up when Brown decided to try and make it personal.

To his credit, the young gun backrower more than held his own.

How cool is that. Coach went out of his way to get two Tigers legends to send the young fella a message. THATS how you keep young talent at your club.

No-one said anything about strength. The question was "who has the worst rig?" Rig just refers to how it looks.

How could you possibly say, for certain, that of ALL players he has the strongest core? For certain?

I think, if there's one specific muscle group that he exercises more than most NRL players, it's in his noggin, that is what has allowed him to be as successful over such a long time.

Well his played twice as many games as nearly 3/4 of the competition and his in a position on the field where he touches the ball more than anyone else and his job is to bend down and picks up the ball from the ground and pass it left or right soon after.

You obviously saw a totally different Lucy than I did playing for St. George.

I saw him quite fit, make plenty of tackles, offloads and play 80 minutes in quite a few games.

Maybe you were watching Joey.

Anyway Blore looks the goods at this stage, hope he continues going well.

Well that's conclusive then.

all you gotta do is Compare photos from last year and this year. Clearly lost a bunch of weight. You seem like you don’t wanna give our club credit even though Luciano himself has admitted as much.

I give them credit, some credit.

However he was not as unfit as you make out. you don't play 80 min. at least 3 weeks in a row if you are unfit.

Also he actually played, didn't just run on and bludge like Jennings.

He’s lost a good 10 kilos and his defence is far better
