Sheens future Safe at Wests Tigers

Out of curiosity, lets say sheens wasn't at the club from next year onwards, who is available to replace him and who does everyone want to replace him with?

From within our club I'd look at Folkes.

Cartwright's contract is up at the end of this year isn't it? It's their third year in the comp, unless he got re-signed and I didn't read about it.

Phil Gould for me

We'll never get him out of retirement. He's got it too good with channel 9 and the Sun Herald and can spend plenty of time with his family.

Before Tim Sheens, the only way we could score a try was from a Robbie Mears grubber kick for John Wilson to fall on the ball. Now look what we have. A team that is second to no one in try scoring ability and creating excitement for the fans. This can be largely attributed to Tim Sheens. Wile ever Robbie and Benji support him, I am happy for him to stay notwithstanding team selections, interchange bench etc

Do you expect them to say anything else publicly about Sheens other than giving him support?

Would you ever go on the record and get quoted in the media saying you didn't rate your boss?

Steve Kearney…

Are you high?

He single handedly de-railed our first season by conducting a Tombstone on Jarrod McCracken.

If you think I'm not happy with Sheens as coach, wait and see what happens if we sign Kearney.

I think Sticky will be looking for a long holiday in the Bahamas after he finishes at the Sharks. What a nightmare… I will say one thing, the Sharks do put in a big effort each week. They just don't have the talent to do anything.

Maybe next time a laugh emoticon would work well.

You're right. I got caught up in the fact this thread was such a joke. Kul's question was a genuine one. Not sure who I'd want should Sheens cash his cheque. I'll say this - I'd rather Brown over Stuart.

Pushed harder? What more could they have done? Kidnap him? He didn't want to come - simple as that.

Money talks. He was the top of my list to come to the Tigers after the debacle that was Terry Lamb. If the offer was right, he would have come.

Mate your post have run its course your repeating yourself over and over.

Im trying to not laugh at your post but its hard not to.

You say top of your list and why was that?

Did you know back then he would be a good coach or have you got the benefit of hindsight.

Please if your gunna post think before you write.

You say 4 years your dissapointed but what about the 20 years before that

but

they also signed long term contracts.
that says more than any words could.
would you stay with a boss you didn't rate when you could earn more money somewhere else.

for me,i just want a decision made.
if sheens has to go,then go draw up a hit list of coaches and get one.

this waiting to see if we make the top 8 shows a clear lack of direction.
i wouldn't have faith in the new appointment with that type of strategy
more likely to end up with a coach from the bottom of the barrel.

If I didn't rate/like my boss, I don't think I would say anything. Discretion being the better part of valour

A happy team is a winning team …. as Kul points out above, you want players to want to win for each other and the coach. If you have a coach that the players don't like playing for, I doubt the team will be a winning one.

And how many seasons under the great man have we won more than 50% of games ??
I'll give you a clue … it's less than 2 ... out of 7 attempts

Just out of interest, will you continue to support the club if Sheens is re-signed?

Yes and I'll continue to show my displeasure whilst ever he is coaching us in the abysmal manner he is, with his equally inept crony Royce Simmons beside him, for the simple fact, neither of them is up to it … and if they are then a very highly talented group of players isn't listening to them. Why's that ?
