Sheens re-signs as Wests Tigers coach

I sat with a few of them for the first half of the game - and I can tell you now they were cheering the loudest for Tigers to win.

It's the Anti-Moth mentality that say the so called 'moths' want WT to fail.

They are just passionate supporters (yes they do support as hard as it is for some to believe) I don't always agree with things said by some of them, it can be harsh, but I understand the points they are trying to make.

We are all supporters of WT, I mean that's why we are in the forum. No one can judge anyone else's love of the club.

This is where the MOTHS differ BRET, they turn on Tigers supporters when they have different opinions to their own, and some of the stuff we have had to deal with here lately has proven it once again with numerous members being abused and one member threatened with violence. Because other Tigers fans have different opinions, all of a sudden that gives the MOTHS the right to abuse them? Not here sorry, that's not on and certainly not what this forum is about.

Can we get back on the topic of Sheens re-signing with the club instead of the Moths? I'm sure I'm not the only one who is sick to death of hearing about individuals who are simply ridiculous.

x2

I would have prefered to see a 2 year extension…with John Langs contract finishing at the end of 2011, it would have put an end to the South Sydney rumour
I hate Souths with a passion and the thought of any of our boys in a red and green jumper makes me physically sick

Losses happen and we can't hope for a perfect season undefeated but in the past few years I've watched my team come out and not compete too many times and someone needs to be held responsible, last week we did that and it's not good enough with the roster we have. Sheens wanted a clean out he got it, if he fails to make the 8 this year I will not be happy one bit. If he does make the 8 I reckon the moths will be the first to be at the gates to get tickets. I think alot of you get our sheens out theory and passion for this club mixed up. Yous all seem to think we are haters and ungrateful and to the point not "real/true" supporters/fAns.

Rehab….I think you miss understand me...I have never questioned the MOTH's passion for the club at all ever ...never said once that they are not true supporters as opposed to those who support Sheens and want him signed for life.....

Sheens tenure the way I see it now is based on results....he said so himself..."If I fail I will walk away myself'...you highlighted it in your first post......lets face it being a Moth we are the real winners here is what you said...

When we qualify for the 8 this year and next...and succeed....why would he then move on....Sheens may get his lifetime contract....which is why I made my original comment....I know you have never said personally want the club to fail.....Other's of your bretheren have....

So...Would you be happy to keep Sheens as coach when we qualify for the finals?

IF (and a big IF) we make the finals, I want him to continue. Sheens finally has the right the crop of players since 05 to do something - even if it is in his 'unorthodox' and sometimes confusing manner. Players like Benji, Lawrence, Gibbs and others have been brought along by this bloke and it should pay dividends for him this year or next. But if we miss the finals I really hope he walks

I'm very happy Sheens will be around to continue his work with WT. He is only half way through completing his second legacy with the club in regards to re-building the squad. Hopefully by that point, his plans will have come to fruition and taken the WT to another level on the park and his contract will be extended to follow through on top of that.
Having said all that, he still does my head in with his selections!!

CT that is very much how I feel.

all you moth killers… you seem to miss the key part of the article...

**" ... It doesn't guarantee I'm going to be there, we've still got to do the job."**

the pressure is on.... and me being a moth, well lets face it if anyone is the real winners here its us... he didnt sign for life!

MOTH AND PROUD!

You miss the point Rehab we want the pressure on Sheens to perform. We want him held accountable. How havent you moths understood this point yet? This does my head in.

Great News - The results from 2010 will hopefully quiten all the baggers

Key point amongst all the Noise.

OUR SUPER STAR PLAYERS WANTED HIM TO STAY

Sheens words are comforting. He appears to be making himself accountable. Good attitude to have.

Mind you I would expect any coach in their right mind to walk away if they miss the finals 5 or 6 seasons straight.

Do the job "Sheeeeennnsssiieie you legend, woo hoo, yeah, timmyyy, boo the moths whoever they are" and no one will complain.
